The ONLY Corvettes that did not have a high center console is the C1 & C2! The C8 console is right on par with the last few generations! The only big difference is the climate control bar, whatever you want to call it. FYI the center exhaust started on the C5. Why would the side exhaust be controversial? Up until you, I've not heard or seen anything talking about the location of the exhaust exit. How does it look like the engine is hooked around 180 degrees from the C7? If it were, it would be a transverse mounted engine. Meaning the engine exhaust and cylinders would be lined up left to right. It looks like and it is a longitudinal mounted engine as all Corvettes have been.

Sadly the composite body panel material used is not "repair friendly" if damaged. Replacement of individual panels is necessary in cases when damage occurs. And those individual panels are all quite "Pricey". (They sure don't build 'em like they used to. They're not fiberglass or carbon fiber that "Can" be effectively and somewhat easily repaired) So don't "hurt" them. By the way the Corvette is not the only vehicle using this material. Pretty much all composite panels on most models use the same materials. And the prices reflect the same thing. Pricy and non-repairable. Or better said, not cost effective to try and repair. Prepare to "Bite the Bullet" and buy complete replacement panels because you can't fix them and expect a satisfactory long-term repair.

The new tranny weighs in close to 350 lbs! Or about 100 less than the engine....Crazy!....However, you can't deny the 'magical' acceleration. And a base C8 with only the Z51 will set you back $65K while at the same time only being matched by a $122K 911 Carrera S (w/out power seats!) . The C8 tested in the article below is a heavy-optioned 3LT Z51, meaning that a lighter, basic 1LT with the Z51 should do a tick better, plus it has power seats!. Imagine that, $65K and the nearest competition is almost twice as much! heated seats, cooled seats, front lift, nav, 182 way power seats, adjustable bolsters, 16 speakers with 2 dedicated subwoofers in a sports car, leather where totally unnecessary, power folding mirrors, 5 unnecessary cameras, etc. Same reason all cars gain 100 pounds or so per generation.

I agree - he says "heres a cooler (up the front) I dont know if its for the engine or transmission". Then there is the small radiators at the rear in front of the wheels 'I dont know what these do". Well dumbarse, you just follow the pipework and see where they go! I'd be impressed if this guy even knows where to find - let alone read, the oil dipstick!

I curse the video feature on cell phones. Now anyone can post crap videos on YT and have their own channel. All sorts of background noise. Lousy audio overall. You have little idea what You are looking at or talking about. Yet another worthless video on the C8. It's all about the clicks. Quality be damned.
