I was diagnosed with severe anxiety disorder and I was told to go on meds so that I can live day to day. Instead I have been turning to my faith and it has completely helped me. I still struggle but not as bad as I use to. I have come to a point now where I feel an anxiety attack coming and I bring out my bible and I attack it before it can take root. I used to be a Muslim a few years back in Afghanistan. I had made a decision to come to Pakistan for work since i hadn't supporter so i couldn't continue my school. My plan was to go to Pakistan and then go to Iran, when I arrived in Pakistan so I had to wait for a few weeks to find a smuggler which was tough for me because I had no idea. Well, waiting there I got to know Jesus Christ I was taught the gospel during I was there, then i came Afghanistan and 2 years later I decided to come to Indonesia to be refugee, that time so many refugees could go to Australia by boat illegally so I chose to stay in Indonesia because I was hoping that I would be given resettlement through UNHCR to any countries which is legal. However, since then it's almost 6 years that I'm still in Indonesia struggling with my life because refugees aren't allowed to work. I love Jeuse Christ because he loves me. I have had bible communication, home group bible study and many others, well I am totally confused with my life and i have been searching how to kill myself and suicide myself because I have been living the whole of my life in an empty world. But I am still hoping that lord may send me to other county to work and to survive. Please help me before I kill myself and pray for that God may save me before something happens to me. I am really tired of this meaningless life. 😢😢😢😢😢. Jesus save me pls

This is a quick verse I pulled out of Matthew. And everytime I worry I think of God and how he has me. So this is for anyone who needs to be reminded to have faith in God because He knows what's ahead of you more than anyone else 💖. Matthew 6:31-34: So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Becca, one thing that you can do is ask God to keep on filling you with His Spirit, on a daily basis. As you do that and are filled, you will become more and more certain of His presence with you at a bone-deep level. You will also begin to be filled to overflow with His peace and joy, and a bedrock of trust in Him will form in your soul so that the enemy will no longer have the leverage to make the anxiety attacks stick. You absolutely can be free of anxiety, in the very near future. Any thought that says otherwise is an attack from the enemy, and should be flushed down the toilet accordingly. Blessings to you, in Jesus' name!

Becca you are such an instrument from God because Worry has been consuming me from left and right about my future and my future career that stress is the only thing that I think about. I pray everyday but I pray saying “I want” or “ please let this happen” but I should be telling God to help me completely trust him and saying that I lay my life in his hands. I asked God to give me a sign to see if he really does have my future in his hands and tell me everything is in place and he has been giving me so many answers and this video is one of them. Currently been consumed with worries and anxiety about what my future will hold because I don't know what I will do in my life. I just graduated high school and I am not sure of going to certain college because I am not sure if that is what I want to do. I been praying for God's will and direction and I think I am being lead in a complete opposite way then what I thought of doing. Alot of fear and anxiety has been controlling me and I hate it. My flesh wants to be in control and wants to figure it out on my own, but I can't do this on my own. I realize it and hate feeling helpless and feeling like I can't figure out things on my own, but I gotta trust God in his will for me. Thanks for this video. I really needed it.

KZbinrfanz Well I am glad you felt compelled to write that because last night I prayed for God to lead me and tell me which way to go and in my prayers I kept thinking of the story of Gideon. Well I remembered it was in Judges, but wasn't sure of the chapter and I just clicked chapter 6 and what do you know it was the story of Gideon and it had just the verses I needed. So I prayed again and couldn't sleep last night. I lean over and check my phone and I seen your comment and I broke down in tears praying to God that if it his will then let it be.

Watched this video at the perfect time! I just saw Francis Chan's sermon about fear and he spoke about how if we show our fearlessness, as Christians, in anything we do, it shows nonbelievers the goodness of God. We don't need to fear because God is with us and He wants the best for us. He really dove into Psalm 23. My goal throughout the week has been to take anything that scares me head-on and not shrink back in fear. Your video really solidifies this principle the Lord is teaching me.

I don't remember when I first believed in Jesus but it was one of the best days of my life. However, by watching this video I feel like I've just learned something I should have learnt the day I "gave" my heart to the Lord. Because I didn't give Him all of me that day- I gave Him a tiny part of me and still clung to my will and my desires. Becca I needed this. I worry and have anxiety about my future, career wise. My goal is to be a physician. The most thing I worry about is whether I will pass the MCAT and get into Medical School, as it is very competitive. I have taken the MCAT 3x now and things are not looking up. I tend to have a doubtful, negative mindset. As you stated, I have been trying to control my life, which never works out. I am aware wholeheartedly and prayed to God to help me cast all my worries to him. However, it is so difficult, you know. I always fall back into taking control of my own life. I also realized that the more worries and anxiety increases, I tend to stay away from God. I am not exactly sure why i do this, but this has been going on for the last four years intermittently. I feel so crappy and do need God. I crave him, but it just is so hard to give it all to God. Anyways, I Just want to say thank you for your videos.

Love how you dealt with this topic Scripturally Becca!! I have dealt with worry and fear as I have struggled with health problems, and I often have felt scared about the future not knowing when my health will turn for the worse again and how it will affect my future life. I love how the end of Matthew 6 and Matthew 11:29-30 talks about worry, and that helped carry me through my issues. Knowing that, as you so wonderfully said, God is in control and that He will use my circumstances for His glory even though they might look bleak (I hate that feeling 😔). Hebrews 12:1-2 puts it so well how we ought but look to Christ, and that gave me such a new perspective on how I ought to live through the pain and misery, but also my prayer life and to just lay everything on the altar to Him while crying out to Him out of the depths "This poor man cried and He heard me and saved me from all my fears" (Psalm 34:5) Sorry if that was long-winded. Great job as always Becca pointing to Christ in everything. You are such an amazing blessing and encouragement to me!!

*I needed this so bad today!! I'm taking my flight exam tomorrow, but also I recently heard everything about the program I was going to go to in uni and get my bachelors in aviation has crashed and burned. The staff all left, it lost funding etc. No idea it was gonna happen, super unforeseen. So between that happening and trying to get my license, my life feels like a mess when everything was working out so perfectly for the past year!! What perfect timing for this video! Sometimes I get so worried and in my head about whether my friends like me, are ignoring me, don't want to be my friend anymore, etc. And today I have been so worried about one of my friends in particular. But this video reminded me to cast (fling and throw!!) my worries to God and that he walks along side me with these things. I LOVE the thought of flinging my anxieties to God because, like you said, it's more of a way of fully trusting God without hesitation.
