This is literally a GEM. When I started like 2018, no coach ever mentioned this. Everyone teaches you to slip-slip high on the centre line without mentioning the range like you did. I learned this already the hard way by always getting tagged with the right hand after slipping a jab and trying to slip to the other side high. Got tagged with that right hand too many times so I’m glad to see this being taught for others. I wouldve killed to have this knowledge when I first started😂

Great point!! People get knocked out in street fights trying to slip left to right after each punch. Your way also allows one to flow with their own momentum rather than attempting to shift directions. I’ve always thought of it as slip and roll but I never considered putting that second slip into the equation. Such simple advice, yet very valuable.. Subscribed 👍

Would you say slip, then pull, is *ever* a good idea? Seems to be a habit of mine and seems fine if I know I got my distance - I have a long reach, so it's where I prefer to be. But feels like I *should* be doing this - slipping so low feels hard for me, maybe fearing getting kicked in the face (from muay thai days :)
@punchperfectperformance593213 сағат бұрын
@@LiamODev yeah that’s definitely an option mate! Again it’s hard to say one way fits all because it depends on the situation you’re faced with at the time but learning different options can be very beneficial. With the slip then pull just be careful that they don’t step in on the 2nd shot

Guy is completely leaving out angles and pivots. No need to slip then have to slip even lower while still standing directly in front of your opponent. You Slip and then pivot or angle out with countering. In this way you get under and then turn your opponent. Slip, pivot angle and then break levels.
