"everything you say, can and will be, used against you in a court of law". Nothing you say will EVER be used in your favor in a court of law. Never open the door if they don't have a warrant and demand to see it before opening the door if they do. An arrest warrant for someone else is not a search warrant. They may not enter your home on an arrest warrant for someone else. Personally I would install a heavy screen door and keep it locked at all times so that I can open my front door without one of them sticking a foot out to prevent closing the door again.

Thanks dude, my neighbor called the cops on me at 4am, I was playing video games and they knock on my door, she tells me it's the police and to open the door cause she wants to make sure everyone is safe, i said umm no lol. It's a scary thing dealing with the police knowing they are armed with a lethal weapon. I was terrified and still am a little but I stood my ground and basically explained that it didnt make sense that a cop would show up at 4am for a noise complaint, im literally playing games before bed and smokin a little weed. That was the really bad part. I knew if I opened the door I was going to jail so I had to air it out, the cop stated they were there for noise but when I wouldn't open up she asked me if it was crime free housing lol. I was like if your here for noise why would you ask that? Fuckin cops try to be slick but thankfully ive watched a few of these types of videos over the years so i have good knowledge of mu rights and what to say and what not too. You don’t even need to answer the door. When I was a teenager we would throw parties. Drinking, smoking etc. somebody would call the police (being loud) they would knock and we would quite down but continue partying. They can’t come into your house if you don’t open the door up. We would talk to them through the door and say come back with a search warrant. They said they would but they aren’t about to wake up a judge to get one. Plus it takes 24 hrs to get one. The police hated us but we never got into any trouble.

I was playing 2k and I heard knocking on my door. I peep through the glass door because it was dark out, about 7 pm. I see an illuminate printing on a vest saying POLICE. My heart started pounding, but I crack open the door and poke my head out. He tells me the neighbors said that someone is going around pounding on doors. He ask if I have seen them I say no. He ask for my name, asks how old I am, and tells me to show ID. I lock the door to go get my license and come back to a light shining on his chest. He turned on his body cams. I do not believe he was a real cop.

If they had a warrant, they would have already broken the door down, and entered with guns drawn. If they are knocking, it means they don't have a search warrant. They can enter with an arrest warrant if they are certain the subject of the warrant is in the home, but unless they saw the person enter, or saw them through a window, they will knock.

In my honest opinion I believe that this has made me a target because I had to represent myself for a traffic ticket. I believe that I asserted myself by proving through a preponderance of evidence that I was not guilty. Any innocent person would stand up for themselves. I'm sorry. Maybe in theory you're presumed innocent until proven guilty. I used to believe that. But not anymore. Not with encounters with the police. I'm a 70 year old male with very long hair, well past my shoulders, piercings and a couple tattoos. Whenever I get pulled over (the last time it was for possible illegal window tint. It was LEGAL) the police take one look at me and assume I do drugs, or deal in drugs, or both. I don't do either. I don't even drink alcohol. I have been asked without cause, when was the last time I smoked pot? I have asthma, so I don't smoke anything. Never have. They are in disbelief when I say I've never been arrested. They always assume I'm on probation or parole for something. It's gets really ridiculous when I'm driving in the south. I have family in Florida and I visit from time to time. My California license plates are a magnet for good ole boy Sheriffs, etc.

No law isn’t reasonable by any means and if you think it is maybe you should go to your city council meetings or go to the federal government and try and change the laws you think is unjust. Tell me one law that isn’t “fair” or tell me how the government is telling you that must do something that is unfair. Paying taxes in order to keep government isn’t unfair, it’s necessary in order to assist its citizens for multiple purposes. So if following laws that are reasonable and necessary means I’m a sheep, then I’m a sheep. But that’s better than what you are, which is a little whiner complaining about how “hard” you have it when you don’t know anything about how “hard” life could be.
