Big thanks to Idenati for sponsoring today's video! Check them out here: idenati.com/about?ref=StudyToSucess hiii!!! When are your final exams? Mine are the first week of December! And I hope you enjoy this video!! It was kind of hard to cover everything I wanted to regarding laziness in a 10 minute video, but I tried my best 😅 Hopefully it’s helpful and at least somewhat relatable!🥰💖

true but i take that as an procrastination option to just watch yt and be like ' we are not expected to be productive all the time' so i don't really like that sentence , and does anyone have an answer where you want to do something you need to do that but you can't stop with wathcing something or playing something so you just say ill do it double tomorrow and then do nothing the next morning?
@gingernya46612 жыл бұрын
My problem is ADHD, executive dysfunction and also the need to do everything perfectly xD Tired / bored / unmotivated is what I feel when I have low dopamine levels. Plus the anxiety of being behind in my studies, the guilt of being "lazy" , the depression of feeling like a disappointment to yourself and everyone around you... Aside from the fact of having a "label" such as an official diagnosis or not, the first thing is to recognize that yeah, being "lazy" is not a sin and you should forgive yourself. The second thing is to help yourself by building an environment around you that helps when you are feeling at your worst and start with small tasks (as you have said in the video), as hard as it is in the beggining. Also meditation & exercise are free and super helpful for brain health. If you can afford to, speaking to a therapist also really helps. I write lazy between quotation marks because I personally think that if you can't do something you WANT to do and you feel paralyzed, its not laziness it's exective dysfunction. I think an actual "lazy" person doesn't really care about doing "the thing" and the consequences. That said, disclaimer I am ALSO not a professional, not a therapist, not an expert, just a 20 something year old that has big goals and a history of bad habits and decisions! I also LOVED this video 💜
@LaurieShoppy1805 Жыл бұрын
I really do feel everything you have described here and the guilt is even making me distance myself from everyone since they are always asking about the progress in my studies and more which I know is not really okay. I wish I can stop being like this and become more productive with my life

The biggest tip that helped me "overcome laziness" is to break it up into bits. Whenever I get slight motivation to do anything, I DO IT. I rarely force myself to do things on a schedule (except go to work, school etc) , I do them when I feel like it, within reasonable timing of couse. Am I still lazy? Yes, absolutely. But I get stuff done now :)

I would define lazy as someone not wanting to be productive, purposely choosing not to be motivated and act. As someone with ADHD, my desire and drive is to be constantly productive and making progress, but my executive dysfunction and daily overwhelm is a real issue that stops me moving forward. The times when I feel more productive and managing it, is always followed by burnout and extreme fatigue. I, like you, was constantly trying to find the 'magic' solution as so many people seem to be able to be self motivated and productive. I have concluded to just try and do things the way that fit and suit me, to get by and do what is needed. It is hard to manage and I strive to have balance in all areas of life, but I accept that my brain works in a different way. I can never be perfect and have set routine, but I can seek ideas, solutions and little life hacks to help manage the things to help make life a little easier. Things don't have to be done one way, we can adapt the 'norm' to suit our own needs.

I saw a tip on a ytb short, idk if it works but let me share this tip with you 😊 So, for example, you’re chilling on your couch, and you have to do your homework. You just saying to yourself « work for 5 minutes, this is easy ». After the 5 min, if you want continue your work, you continue but if you don’t, you stop. Apparently 9/10 times you continue your work 😊 Anyways, I really like this video 😊

You can do it when you want to but remind yourself to do it on time. And also not everything has to go as planned as in the planner you made. It okay! It your life make it effortless. I wanted to go out for a little morning walk but I was feeling soooooo lazy so I switched on my device and guess what’s top of my recommendation? This. Thank you!

0:39 in Islam, we know that the reason we are lazy is: 1. It's normal to be lazy 2. Satan/devil is whispering in our ears Example: Satan: "don't study just watch the tv" And that's the reason why we're lazy so much

Wonderful video! What I really appreciate is how relatable it is. Sometimes KZbinrs make it seem like they have the perfect life, doing 10 things by breakfast like Rapunzel in Tangled. It can feel like an impossible standard. Your video made me feel better!

My inertia was been such a burnout for me, but all the makes me be more “lazy-less” is watching ur videos! It really motivates me and that’s what keeps me up ❤️❤️📑

this makes so much sense considering how a lot of people feel about showers! for example, personally, i find it so hard to get into the shower, but once i'm in i never want to get out. it's the transition from one state to another that makes us dread doing anything, not necessarily the thing itself

Yay! I am a swiftie and the fact that Taylor has released four albums in last two years her productivity level is 10000 times more than mine. But yeah she motivates me and this video did too! Thanks for the tips!

For those of you who struggle to understand why you can't self-motivate and can only be motivated by hard deadlines, please consider getting screened for ADHD! 😊 My whole life I was told I was lazy, missed small details, didn't apply myself, and a thousand other moral failings... but then I found out it was just ADHD.

I guess the whole world has ADHD these days. It's the blanket diagnosis if you haven't noticed.

And....the SOLUTION to ADHD is to simplify (so that you can focus). Consider materialistic minimalism, but also clearing your calendar and social obligations, to just the most important

That is true, my dad and brother were diagnosed with mild ADHD, they did overcome it to a point. But I thought I was different since it wasn't so obvious. After graduating school and getting a diploma I had less and less external stimulus, all tasks I have after work are basically made by myself. And now I realise how hard is to push myself and stay concentrated, and do things that don't realy have a deadline, I would start 20 things to get 1 done. That is a good point to get screened.

@@SayHelloToOblivion Our understanding of ADHD has definitely changed a lot in the past ten years, so it makes sense that the diagnosis rate is increasing with greater understanding of what it is. That being said, there are lots of things that look like ADHD, but aren't. That's the purpose of differential diagnosis :)

This is really good for students with senioritis they get lazy right before graduation. My sister is graduating from college and she is being lazy now . She just has a few more weeks left. I showed her this video and it motivated her to kick in the energy to finish strong. Thanks estella💯
