Also consider that ur teammate probably has a better overall view on the situation that you as they can see ur entire surroundings. Sometimes you’ll think ur unmarked but ur teammate sees someone u didn’t.

There’s a kid on my team who does not ever pass the ball, but he is super fast and had amazing footwork. He can dribble though as many defenders as he wants, but we’re not developing as a team. It’s a tough situation

Hey man, talk to your coach, if this doesn’t change you won’t develop confidence and skill, if you constantly get open and they don’t pass you can’t work on passing, shot, or dribbling, receiving in a real game. You can try being selfish like them, if this doesn’t work find a new team. Remember most likely the selfish guy won’t play at a high level so all that selfish skill he has doesn’t matter in the grand scheme.

I’m a lone striker at a pretty bad team so I get the ball a lot and can run with it well because I’m pretty fast but I feel super isolated. when I receive it I create space and get it down the field well but then I have no options to pass to and no one to collect the second ball if I win a header, so what should I do ? Should I ask for the coach to change the formation to have 2 strikers or a CAM ? We’ve had 2 games so far and I’ve scored 3 (the only goals my team have scored) or can we work on this in training ?

I try hold up the ball and literally screamed at one to make the run and he stood like a potato so I just kicked it out for a throw out of rage (I’m working on my temperament in game). I had this classmate once (His name was Jason), he was basically like the messi or basically very good at football especially dribbling. I don't have football everyday I have it once a week so I don't have time to improve on my Football skills much. I have a ball at home but I don't have space to play it and I can't go outside. I recently got my position switched from defence to midfield. But I am not able to even touch the ball mainly because of 2 reasons: 1) I'm a bit overweight not too much, my bmi scale is still ok but it can be toned down a bit. 2) This Jason hogs the ball and trys to dribble it always even when there's 5 people around him. Now here comes my main point, I'm not able to get to the ball or the ball really doesn't come to me. I tried to speak to Jason to pass the ball to me but he says he couldn't see me and that I should go in his vision so he can pass. But here's the problem. I am mostly in his field of vision even when I'm not I'm shouting (not aggressively) at him to give me the ball, and I'm like 7 foot behind him. I want to ask for some help and hopefully get the ball more.

I say: all can help is changing a team. Adult players do not care, who scores. And enjoy passing more than dribbling/shooting. Now I am lucky to join a team, who blame each other for long shooting, even if it was a goal. PS. You can attack your own teammate with a ball (sure, if you are physically stronger) and show readiness to fight. If you are weak, all you can do is continueing (plz correct spell if wrong) opening like he is a teamplayer and ask a ball. But get in head, he will not pass even if you are in a super position. Do not say nothing. But never get irritated, it will result to nothing and will bring joy from a game to zero.

look inwards, look at your game and think am I the better option here. And if you answer yes and are still not getting the ball you need to be more aggressive I've had this happen on a team the best player refused to pass me the ball, spoke to them about it and nothing changed so I worked harder and become more aggressive calling for passes (think ronaldo calling for a pass) where I eventually got the ball after alot of drama with that same player. if that attitude is an issue and is still not being recognized leave. But never go down without a fight and I dont mean a physical fight.
