Hi I am from NZ. I have been victim of a narcissist woman wish she was my partner. Thanks for helping so many people, its really hard when people avoiding you. I lost my job my friend my son 😪 but still have my dignity financial disaster. I got support but still hurting 💔 Thanks for helping. 😊

Very good Rebecca and the more mature one is as well. Maturity goes with the experience of overcoming obstacles. I did a parenting course and one was to ignore bad behaviour and praise the good for the little ones.

I have been writing everything down here lately and the biggest is my kids making sure I document thing's with them to ensure their safety and best interests ! I also write down things being said and done by my ex wife

My ex was hardcore into the smear. She loved it. Some people claim that they don't realize they're doing it, and maybe some don't, but she absolutely knew what she was doing. She put real thought and work into it.

They know darn well what they are doing, or the stories wouldn’t need to change in front of certain ppl. In my case, they started right after they meeting me … whispering sour nothings into your friends/family’s ears as feigned concern.

Well put, this are very helpful resources. Ladies, please please 🙏 follow this advice she says “ Document” it’s crucial. You can easily win a hard case by providing this!!! I wish I knew this 20 years back! A not a nice divorce with a narcissistic Military Napoleon complex wanna be! But God held me and I’m still standing but perhaps, with a second possible covert in the closet ! So pray for me!

I was attacked like that in my local Alcoholics Annonymous groups. They know isolation is deadly for real Alcoholics. I stopped going but it does really suck.

That does suck! Well, character flaws. Getting over alcohol doesn't prove overall maturity. People are complex, mature and maintaining discipline in certain areas of life, not in others. Find another small group, not necessarily only dealing with alcohol?

The POS would make sure his friends were around when he would call me on the phone and covertly emotionally abuse me, lie about what he did and say till the point I started yelling at him and then tell me afterwards that everyone was on his side and that they had told him that I was insane.

Lived with this woman for twelve years now. when I first moved in she asked (told) me to not interact with the neighbors in the little trailer park where she has lived for a long time. I was not to look at or even waive to. Over the years people moved out and new people moved in. I did get to know a few of them whereas I would help them if they needed it. Of course this led to the occasional "hi, how are you" in passing or just a simple wave. Then just like a switch was flipped all the neighbors stopped saying hi to me, stopped waiving in passing. Like the whole park went full on "ghosting" of me. should i inquire some neighbor about it or should i just let a sleeping dog lie?

Depends on how important those connections with neighbors are to you. The direct way is worth a shot, i.e. asking a neighbor or two about it, if you did or said anything that offended them...probe a bit. Whether you did or did not do something that could be taken as wrong. You're on a fact-finding mission, if you choose to hear them out. Rumors, gossip, slander going around to tarnish a person's reputation in the community can be so VERY wrong, but...if someone took something you did as off or un-neighborly, whether you meant it in a bad or selfish way or not, then it's at least something to talk through and explain from your side of things. IF they are willing to do so. If they are the types to play Judge/Jury without getting your take, then is it worth it to you to connect any more with these people? If they ghost you so cheaply, then do the same and maintain your self and power.

I agree!! I too was caught up in an unknown smear campaign: I realized some things were being spoken behind my back, when I cut into a conversation that went silent. Later, I put the puzzle together after leaving Mr.x while he was out trucking. He turned the small town against me & I had wondered why so many people didn’t seem to want to get to know me. They didn’t even know me for the real me, & they cared not to bother to get to know the real me, for they were turned against me from the Beggining. Mr.x didn’t want me to have friends, I could turn to for support. He just wanted to be the center of their focus without question. Narcissists betray us on so many levels.

My soon to be ex got engaged to his new supply less than a month after the temporary papers were filed so I’m no longer dealing with daily love bomb texts but I’ve been told he holds a humongous grudge against me and talks very unkindly about me. It’s a very uncomfortable feeling to know this is going on in front of my children and grandchildren. He also moved her into the home. 😕

When people show you who they are, believe it. For months, the same people were behaving badly towards me. I tried to ignore them, but they didn't stop...until I started videoing them. Document their abuse/harassment so that you know you're not overreacting, imagining, or being too sensitive. Only confide with people you know and trust. DO NOT share your feelings with anyone else...they will use it against you.
