Good for another 100 years with regular service and upkeep. in the 1980's as an apprentice mechanic in NZ I restored a Norton ES2 that belonged to my father it's now on it's 4th direct father son family owner. Those old bikes were built to last if you look after them properly. Great job on the engine rebuild.

This man is a true example of a mechanic... not the new ages mechanic that plugs the obd and tells you your car is busted because they don't have a clue how to actually fix or diagnosis anything

I imported a 1929 Motobecane Type H H ( Minnesota ) from France several years ago. Has the Blackburne 500 with a Burman gear box... seller claimed both in " good condition ".. he lied. It took my buddy, a retired machinist from the U of M.. 2 years to get the issued repaired. There are no parts for these.... he used a Ford piston, Buick 455 valves, Caterpillar valve guides... the con rod and crank was sent to a shop in the Uk... No one here in the states could do the bearing repairs... a bent shaft and two broken gears in the Burman... they used a discontinued gear angle, but the local gear shop dusted off the back room and found the cutters..I got two new gears... cost me case of beer and a blue berry pie. The only off the shelf parts we got.... clutch plates ..from the Uk.... It now runs well.... 😎
