Hello! I’m right now 11 and I have constipation since I was 5! And now I just use a laxative every day as my doctor said me to, and I poop everyday if I do everything I need! I have some tips for pooping good 1. Eat a lot of fiber food. A child until 12 years needs to eat about a handful of veggies and fruits and adults 2 handfuls. 2. Kids drink 2 bottles of water a day in winter and in summer more since you sweat a lot. 3. Make a lot of activities go to a park or jog somewhere! 4. If it worsens go to the doctor! Don’t be scared. I use my medicine everyday and it’s hard to do all the steps but I got used to it and my dad always helps me with my tummy! Hope this helps a lot!😊

If your constipated i recommend telling someone it will make you feel less nervous. Also for treatment you can buy some medicine at a local store, I bought this powder you add into water and it dissolves. It makes the water slightly sweeter and day 1 when I was constipated I thought its nothing and I got scared and after 2 days I bought something to help and that was the packets. If your young I recommend putting half a packet into warm water. Older I recommend the whole packet. Foods Eat soft food, and papayas and pineapples help alot. Maybe try to stay away from breads. After about 2 days It helped alot. You can also call a doctor, and ask for medication for constipation. Don't worry since its normal.

I was born with constipation problems because I came out too early and I was only 2 pounds and 12 ounces. When I was 2 years old and Mommy was pregnant with my baby brother Joseph, there was a big power outage and I was pooping in the toilet because I was potty trained and got my first underwear. Mommy was in the bathroom with me and she helped me poop. When I got the poop out, I clogged the toilet and Daddy had to unclog it. When I was 5 years old and I was pooping, I clogged the toilet and Daddy had to unclog it. When I was 6 years old, I was pooping and I clogged the toilet and Mommy and Daddy tried to unclog it, but they couldn't and they had to call the plumber. The plumber had to take the toilet out. When I was 14 years old, I clogged the toilet with poop and Daddy had to unclog it. I am 22 years old right now and I still clog the toilet with poop. A couple of days ago, I clogged the toilet with poop and Mommy was too tired to unclog it, so my little brothers had to do it. Joseph unclogged it. One time my little brother Zach unclogged it and he said that he asked one of the other boys to get him a stick. My little cousin Andy also has constipation, so his mother, my aunt Joanne, has to use a stick to divide the poop so it can go down the drain. Andy is 17 years old and he always clogs the toilet. Sometimes, Mommy unclogs the toilet whenever I poop. Sometimes my little brothers do it. After I poop when I have constipation, I feel so weak. I have been clogging the toilet with poop all my life.

Crissie Morris it's probably more likely that the change in her routine caused the constipation rather than the meat. Although some foods are associated with constipation, our bowels are usually pretty good at adapting to new foods. Either way, the treatment is the same. Hope this helps!

Very sad to be so focused on getting children to take PEG. There are so many children developing neurological disorders from it, meaning BRAIN PROBLEMS! You don't want to mess with this, it can cause uncontrollable movements, tics, to develop in children. I know someone personally who had this happen.

This is not true. PEG is inert, your body doesnt absorb it at all. It is a fiber much like cellulose (the material that makes up plant structures). It just pulls water into your bowels, making your poop softer. That's it.

Do you have any documentation showing /proving this? Not a Google thread but an actual statement from a Doctor? It’s also suggested to only take Miralax or it’s generic friend, for 7 days at a time. In very rare cases would you keep giving it to your child after they are regulated & feeling better. That’s up to the parent to use their judgement. I’ve never heard of it causing brain problems or tics. If you’re going to cite something as big of a deal as that, it would be helpful to provide documentation for proof so people have something to reference from a licensed professional. Otherwise you’re just spreading unnecessary false panic - like the “doctor” who stated vaccines cause autism…. & we can’t be having that now, can we?
