What to Do When Your Partner Doesn't Follow Through

The issue is why does the partner disrespect the needs of the partner who needs something done? It's called disrespect and lack of integrity to not follow through. Keeping one's word is paramount.

It’s not about competing. Its about having a one sided relationship. The burden you put on a single person will lead to other issues. That person will always be stressed, irritated and ultimately depressed. The key is to have a somewhat balanced relation where both parts put in their work and most importantly follow through on whatever they agreed upon. Everything else is childish and plain wrong. How often do women complain when the husband forgets to bring out the garbage? Men don’t say “get over it” and they would, they’d be devil in person.

What about during dating the boyfriend says he will call at certain time and consistently doesnt and you keep waiting doesnt pick up calls

We find ourselves in this situation. But the issue is follow through. I have worked my butt off to go to my wife and say; Hey I feel like this, it makes me feel this way ya di ya da. Would you please take some time to think about this and come back to me? Sure Then she won’t come back to me. And when I ask a follow up like hey what did you think about that. She will make something up like “oh yeah I totally think I can change that for you” and I’ll say but we were talking about that. Our therapist has asked her to journal and she says yes and won’t. I’m sitting here and losing my mind. I’ve stripped back myself to the core. What do I want vs what do I absolutely need and throwing out the wajt stuff but she still, without fail misses. And then she lashes out when I say hey wtf (eventually)
