oh god yes they can ruin your mental health and also make you question how good you are and constantly yelling at you and if you ask questions they get annoyed and have very very little patience for anyone in general.i also recently had a coworker who was shoving me around and i had to defend myself in the workplace never would have thought i would have to fight for my life at work but thats where we are now lol. that person quit after that incident but they had a lot of mental issues and that is why guys you should train hard everyday to be able to phiscally defend yourselves and not walk around afraid of people in general. I have had some other crazy boss siuations as well but that was the first actualy workplace fight I ever had in my life and hoping its the last.to be honest though one thing i learned is if you are starting a new role and a boss yells or does something crazy at you , you have to put a stop to it there or say something in the moment or else it sets a president that it can be done again and again. Its like you have to cut the head off the snake before it strikes. At the current job I had to check at least 2 people who just randomly started yelling and acting crazy and let them realize that im not someone who wont say anything , people like that look for weakness in others. I think working on yourself is awesome but remember there are people who will not respond to reason.

Wow, first off let me just say I am sorry that you have to have these type of work environments. You are absolute correct. I would think that you should not have to defend yourself at work. I made a joke about that in the podcast thinking that we all are adults and people would not do that.🤦🏾♂️ Glad you take care of yourself and I’m glad you’re strong mentally emotionally and physically. But low-key it might be time for us to change professions lol

It's all good I think in the end it made me stronger and it also allowed me to trained in martial arts more I don't put anything past people these days people are very unpredictable lately. I think also because everyone's on edge because of the lack of jobs. End the rising cost of inflation. People are taking out their frustrations on others. So I do think it's in your best interest to always remain mindful of your surroundings and people that are getting too close to you. I have seen grown men crying from the boss of yelling at them so close to their face. That was in corporate America in NYC

If you don’t mind me asking. What line of work do you do? How long have you been practicing martial arts? Are you still in NYC corporate or are you located in a different market now?
