Your chosen path is a damn hard one but you absolutely must give it your best shot; Many of us have dreams and aspirations which ultimately get overtaken by the need to “get by” in life - You are way too good for that. Wherever the journey takes you never be one who looks back and regrets not trying … Great news is there are a lot of us rooting for you, (crikey for me this is getting a bit deep - time to go) Warmest regards, Rob

Hey Dave, hope you're doing well. I can't help but wonder if you are the mysterious studio time benefactor?! :) Also wanted to mention that it caught my eye in the last unboxing video that you got Daniel 'Watership Down', great choice and good to see that this British classic is recognised over the pond with you American friends. I have wondered if it had made an impact over there. Best wishes, Ian
@daveking93932 жыл бұрын
@@kevintheindianbluepeacock2359 Hello there Ian. Daniel mentioned Watership Down During one of his live streams and how much he enjoyed the book. I thought at the time he also said he was not aware of the film... I tried to obtain and send ASAP after that, but by the time he unboxed or I miss heard him, he indicated he had seen it. It definitely made it across the pond. I'm from Connecticut and my wife is from North Dakota. I saw it on VHS in the adult section at the public library here in CT... My wife introduced it to me when we first met in 1990. I was 24 she 19... I brought it over to her and asked if she knew of it. Her eyes lit up, not believing I had not read the book or seen the film... We checked it out of the library, of course I thought it was intense and loved the animation... I also bothered her mocking the bird saying "big water" with a French accent for years... The DVD I sent includes a bunch of additional material and interviews about the process of adapting the book to screen. It was so enjoyable I watched all of those bonus features a second time before sending his way. Great works both print and film. Thanks for the thoughts but I was not one of the mentioned contributors towars equipment, although I am a Patreon and did pay a premium for both of his LPs so that helps in a very very small way... Other folks stepped up to the plate for this one. My guess is Ford could be one. He has done some really wonderful things for Daniel. I was really glad he received these as he can spend the valuable time familiarizing himself with the new set up rather than raising funds. It really did bring a smile to my face hearing that he acquired items. I'm actually pretty tapped out and have one last package to send Daniel. The 2 tuition payments at the same time has been killer this last year and a half... One more double payment next semester after the ones next month... Then just one for the next 2 years... I had fun dropping COVID relief funds on Daniel but all descretionary funds have evaporated from the budget... Even my bird feeding is taking a hit... It's been a fun ride saying thanks for the hours and hours of entertainment, knowledge and insights. I actually told Daniel in an email the other day, I was cleaning out the drawers and shelves of items I've been meaning to send and will get them out this week (Including a little Sandy Denny intro... Cheers!). I'm also including one last investment of discretionary funds in a gift I hope he and his family might find valuable and entertaining (annual subscription). Thanks for the hello, cheers for Watership and thoughts. All the best

@@daveking9393 Hi again Dave, great reply and always nice to hear from you! I've been a Patreon member for a while too, and also bought his first two albums. The variety really caught me by surprise, and as such I'm still more on the first album than the second. I must send D a message soon to acknowledge the work he clearly put into it, not just the music. Will try to reload Discord so that I can drop the occasional message there ... must admit that I have been having a LOT of issues logging in. Have you, or is it just me hehe? I smiled when you mentioned bird feeding, which is something that I am into big time since the UK Covid lockdowns. Feel free to check out the several vids I have uploaded showing that Kevin the Peacock is real and I am lucky to have him as a regular visitor. Uploaded them for no other reason than for prosperity and to bring a smile to anyone who happens to stumble across them! As for Watership Down, how do you regard the song Bright Eyes by A.G.? Interesting bit of trivia for you .. the song was a MASSIVE single hit here in the UK, it spent six weeks at number 1 and sold over a million copies. Yet for some reason it was never released on your side of the pond as a single? You would have thought that it would have been, especially from a commercial viewpoint given the impact it made over here. Best wishes, Ian

Hi Daniel, you can upload as much or as little as you like to youtube. I think not only is it fine to take breaks and do other stuff, it is also healthy for you personally too! That is an awesome gift of studio time, a shout out and a 'nice one' for whoever donated that. I echo the earlier comments here of wishing you all the best in what you do, just go for it and grab it. As others have said before I'll continue being a Patreon member even if you never load any exclusive content ever again, for me it's the online equivalent of buying you a pint in the local bar/pub & chatting about music (something which won't happen in real life ... but hey that's life!). Your UK fan and friend, Ian

A pretty good TV show that aired on PBS called "Paul McCartney: Chaos and Creation at Abbey Road". McCartney spends an hour in Abbey Road Studios in front of a small audience, telling stories and demonstrating how the Beatles created some of their most iconic songs...then he puts together an impromptu song using today's technology to show you the difference and how far recording techniques have come since the 1960s. It's a really good program. I'm not suggesting it as a reaction but simply something to watch if you have an hour. Pretty educational.

You are so welcome bright eyes. 😊😊Hahaha. The moment you said you’re going on hiatus. I felt very nervous. My first thought, is he saying goodbye to go on tour with HoBo Johnson? Is he saying goodbye to YT? I am proud to be a supporter on Patreon. I’m proud to subscribe to DDR/ dethstrok 9. I’m enjoying the Beatles full albums on Patreon.❤❤❤ My goodness you have come so far, Daniel. 😃You’re gracious young man. This announcement you made, buying new equipment and returning to Diamond Studios to make your third album, 😃👍 because of a generous anonymous individual donated money. That’s very exciting for us to hear, plus your next live gig, cool cool! Have you completed writing any songs for this third album? Is your Mom going to sing background vocals, again? The being a more alpha male skit was hilarious! But the snorting pepper was insane. I LOL! I’m glad you recovered from that. Great directing. Congratulations! Enjoy your creative process at Diamond Studios for 3rd album. We look forward to a next Live Stream after your hiatus. Take care of you. We’ll see you later. You’re awesome, Daniel! We Love You! ❤ We Are Legion! ✌

I am a new subscriber and really enjoy watching you dissect the songs, especially songs from way before your time!! You have a very unique way of looking at them. I'd be very interested in you listening to the song "Ticking" by Elton John Done the late 60s, early 70s......... eerily and sadly it is very reminiscent of the horrible things that are going on in todays society. I also wondered if you knew that Elton John and Bernie Taupin never write together. There is a CD that was put out years and years ago about them called "Two Rooms and it explains how Bernie writes the words and Elton puts the music to it and they almost never talk about it or work together on them. I thought you might find that interesting also. Enjoy your new successes, I enjoy your music and I'll be joining your patreon! Lisa🌺
