Hey Daniel I’ll buy your CD, and asked if u would please fix the link for your reaction to side 1 of the white album on Patreon (I just paid for membership to your Patreon specifically to watch that reaction, but the link to watch that reaction no longer works). BTW all other reactions work except for that one.

My first night listening to your reactions. I really appreciate and enjoy the length you go to explain what your selections are about. I grew up with this music. I have never heard the dropped verse in American Pie and I am 77 years old. Maybe you could review a song of each of those who died in the plane crash. All of the information you have shared is fascinating. Thank you so much!🙏🙏

Of the art is easily understood, the art is boring. I’m sure there are exceptions, but art is to provoke thought and emotion. IMO, the best art is goadish in nature

That unique wave like background sound you like so much is genius and was a labor of love. No synthesizers are used. Each band member was recorded singing individual elongated notes in separate tracks. Over 600 individual tracks for the voices, then mixed and layered in a complex way. It's absolutely hypnotic, dreamlike and beautiful.

The beginning of the song is freaking amazing. I almost want to call it a march, it's not quite that, but if feels like something adjacent. It feels like a progression of the Hero's Journey. I can see the character striding through the desert of life going for something...different...better. The progression of the music seems to speak of something sad, but with a giant dash of WONDER, surprise and magic. Some songs you might wish to check out are Beth, Mandy and Could it Be Magic.

Pretty haunting words. That's the only thing I didn't like about Kirk. Very blasphemous. One thing I learned the hard way. Don't call out God cause he will check you.

Back in the late 70s, a school friend lent me a copy of Rush's Caress of Steel. After two or three bars of the first track, Bastille Day, I was absolutely hooked. First saw them live in late 1981 and then countless times on tour thereafter. Their music, and its evolution, have basically chronicled my life. That's why, I think, the Professor's death in 2020 had such a profound impact on me - I knew there was no more coming. There couldn't be. For much of that time, being into Rush put you into a strange category of music fan: other people didn't get you, or the music (if, indeed, they would even listen to it). You were seen as somehow a bit 'weird'. Rush weren't your typical 'rock' band (progressive or otherwise), but they had a depth and magic in every department that no other band had, or has. Given we aren't exactly living in a 'Golden Age' of music right now, I did wonder whether Rush might just evaporate into the ether. Many young people, it seems to me, don't really ask too much of their music in 2024 and many (for several reasons, I think) don't seem to have the attention span and depth for the kind of music Rush made. The only thing which comes close to a Rush track, for me, is when someone who is part of the younger generation 'get' Rush and the music, and get the kind of enjoyment from it that it has given me for absolute decades. Maybe you need to be wired a certain way? I don't know. Just really delighted that you get the band and the music - including the incredible lyrics that the Professor penned. Excellent reaction. The interaction was great and the commentary too. Many thanks.

Over 800 paintings from Vincent and he only sold one. And that was to his brother. Now people pay millions for his art. I hope he can see from the afterlife that there are people who recognize the greatness that was Vincent with the china blue eyes.

Okay, 😂 this is not a head-bobbing song, especially if you’re going to be off-beat. This is not rap. These younger listeners (he’s not the only one who does it) need to learn to just be still to really listen.
