I remember when this series of interviews with Adler aired on PBS. Rarely see this quality on PBS any more.

PBS is propaganda in its purest form. Progressive Democrats are the most dangerous people in America today. They are destroying our nation at its Southern border.

What people fail to realize is how too much capitalism is opposed to most people's real freedom, too, and hostile to a lot of people's survival.

You mean Corporatism not Capitalism.
@richarddaigle87773 ай бұрын
Capitalism is owning what you do with your hands, corporatism is the governement gets a cut before you get paid for your own labour. What do you call it when corporations and governement work hand in hand to take a majority of your labor and profit off you? It's called socialism, where your labor is mostly used to fund governement and people that refuse to work.

@@curtismantle Corporatism aka Oligopoly or monopoly is the natural result of unregulated capitalism. The "big fish" eat the little fish(by buying them out if nothing else) until there are only "sharks" left.
@SickPuppet-w6x3 ай бұрын
@@richarddaigle8777 Not true, at least the first part. Capitalism is when the government doesn't interfere with business, or as it is called the "free market". The problem is that once one has enough money one can "corner the market" by buying out, or driving the competition out of business. This ultimately leads to monopolies, but thanks to anti-trust laws those are broken up for the most part. We still have problems with collusion between supposedly competing companies tho' when we only have a few of them (basically the business equivalent of an oligarchy called an oligopoly) Socialism is when the government regulates business ideally for the good of society, hence the name 'socialism'. The problem with it is that it can be corrupted and many large corporations will lobby the government to pass regulations that actually prevent competition, by increasing the cost of doing business.

The intent of communism always seems to start off that way, but ends in desires to co-opt free will.
