For your 2nd spot (the AYCE), how did you reserve? The site comes up in Japanese only.

Hi! Here’s the direct link to the reservation! reserve.resebook.jp/resty/webrsv/rsv_vacants/vacant/s021142401/19548/0311 If you’re using google chrome on your desktop or even safari (if using an iPhone) you can also translate the webpage to English! But I think this link may be a little more straightforward than their website. Hope you’re able to reserve!

Did you just walk in or you've got a reservation for Kichi Kichi?

Hi! We made a reservation ahead of time! Here’s link: dongree.xsrv.jp/kichikichi/reserve/notes-on-reservation/ I believe you have to reserve at least 4 weeks in advance and they open the slots every Sunday at 11 AM (in Japan). Highly recommend that you book right away when it opens as the slots get filled immediately! Hope you get to go🙂

So Happy that i had an honor to meet Mr. Motokichi in person. I didn’t have a reservation when i visited.. my first attempt of walk in was a fail. luckily on my 2nd attempt, there was one open spot. One of a memorable experience in my Kyoto trip 😊. the omurice was delicious and the staff are super nice
