WHAT WE DID ON ISCHIA AND PROCIDA! | The Positano Diaries EP 130

We stayed for four nights at the Giardini di Ravino www.ravino.it/
We had lunch cooked in the sand at Ferdinando Al Mare, near Sant Angelo
/ desideriamgliaccio
Ferries from Ischia port to Procida multiple times a day, takes only 25 minutes.
You can then easily walk across the island and up to the viewpoint at Terra Murata.
We ate down at Marina della Corricella, at Ristorante Graziella
Back on Ischia we did a small hike to the Pizzi Bianchi, not recommended without proper shoes and maybe hiking poles.

For the life of me I don't understand why Procida isn't every bit as famous with foreign tourists as the other islands are. The view onto the pastel colored marina (is it Corricella?) is just enchanting. But maybe it's a good thing the ginormous cruise ships don't park out there & it stays more of a place that Napoletanos (& little dogs from Positano) can hang out. This is so fascinating. I didn’t know Italy had geothermal spots like this. As a New Zealander this is fairly common place and we even have a spot called Hot Water Beach you go first thing in the morning and dig deep in to the sand and dig yourself your own hot tub. It’s lovely. We also cook a lot of traditional foods in our hot pools and hot soil although some can reach temperatures far beyond boiling so you have to be careful. I’ll definitely check out your fab Italian spots… I can imagine the food is divine 😍

The geothermal cooking is something that is done a lot here in New Zealand. Especially in our geothermal area. However a lot is done in the hot pools rather than sand as our volcanos are surrounded by land and not sea. This was amazing to watch and learn about

Gorgeous, wonderful and my favorite way to wake up on Sundays, as always! Salvatore couldn't have been more charming! The thermal cooking and baths were so interesting! Loved the abandoned prison! Loved seeing the food cooked in the sand, it is wonderful, I would love to try that. Love the way Carlo carried Holly so she didn't burn her paws. It must be great to have on your doorstep. Now we are coming out of lockdown, how wonderful to be able to plan going on holiday, my granddaughters have been to Majorca, but had to isolate for five days as Majorca went into amber zone the night before they went, so it was a bit of a pain, they had to have tests going and coming back. Your holiday looks wonderful, glad you and Carlo enjoyed it,thank you for taking us with you.👍💜💕

I stayed here in 2019 Gianrdini Ravino is amazing with an amazing history. My friends' in-laws own this wonderful Hotel/Cactus garden property. We had a blissful stay here. Just wonderful.

Truly breathtaking, beautiful video. I too can never resist watching immediately on waking on a Monday morning instead of keeping to savour later. The music, the food, Carlo’s smile!
