I am 17 years old and have been organic vegan for a year and a half. I live in a house where my family eats a diet primarily consisting of processed and calorie dense foods. Learning to cook nutrient dense and appetizing dishes was a challenge at first, but watching your videos has helped my cooking and inspired me!

I can agree with you! I eat mostly organic vegan and have been for over 2 months now. I feel my best. I am 16 almost 17 and learning to cook more nutrient dense and nourishing food has been amazing. My family does eat lots of processed food as well. They love meat and dairy so much. It can be challenging but having a community is so awesome!

So glad you shared this part of your “not perfect” lives. I feel that means a great deal to us out in the public. So thank you. As an “older” (58) viewer who has 3 adult children now and grandmother of 2, with some life experiences, one of the best things I can say to you both is to “remember” and “appreciate” how and why you are doing this. Remember the love you have for each other and where n how it started. And why you are so tired right now. The job of raising a family is difficult if you’re doing it “right”. But so very important. Give each other space needed sometimes, but also, maybe just a simple thing as holding hands when you take a walk. A touch on the shoulder when one is down. Touch is everything. Even if it’s just for a few minutes. Love to all of you. You’re doing a great job ❤️

Love how real this feels. As for Faith. Not going to church is not something you should feel bad about. You are the church and each day you can make time for our Father and pray and worship within. Keep thanking him and keeping him present in every moment of your life as he is offering you all you have. I saw videos where you have the Bible App and read it each morning and that is a great way. In times when we feel unsettled, HIS word really is medicine. This year when most religious building where shut, people had to really be present with Yah and pray. He is God, he is everywhere you are so just remember to acknowledge him. As for the rest: nobody is perfect and we all can grow daily, but your contribution to all of us is lovely and felt and I love how relatable you are. 😍😘

I’m new to the WFPB diet and discovered your channel not long ago, but have watched SO many of your videos. This one is now my favorite because of your honesty. I rarely comment on KZbin but feel compelled to say THANK YOU for your honesty and for being real. It is intimidating to watch all of your videos and think about how I’ll never achieve that level of perfection in so many different arenas. It’s inspiring to know you both are real and have struggles too. I have two littles ones as well, and my best advice is to be gentle to yourself. It gets easier as time goes by, and you both are doing an OUTSTANDING job. Best wishes and thank you again!

When our son was born, I looked at it as a time to reset our lives. It was a new beginning with a family of three. Everything was changing. We just decided to go with the flow. Just be, and embrace the changes. We tried to just be calm and look on every day as a bright new day, even on the days we did not feel like getting out of bed. Sometimes we just took a day off and just did absolutely nothi g but what we had to do. We vegged at home as much as we could. We thanked God for everything we were and had and each other and our beautiful gift he gave us, our son. It was not easy but we made it through. I guess when we just sat down and looked around we realized how good we had it compared to what we could be going through or not have. We were just an average working couple, nothing excessive. But just, well, it was whatever it was. Eventually we had to go back to getting up and at em mentality, but that breather we took for a month or two we really enjoyed. I really need to get a hydrator. Been thinking about it for a while. Watching this farm family and they were dehydrating figs they were growing. Looked yummy. I know those bananas were. Great video. I do have one large air cleaner, was thinking of a couple more smaller ones. I have asthma so very glad it is here to use.

I LOVE how real and how transparent you are trying to be in your comments and sharing of your daily struggles!! Much appreciated! I also love how you show the positive and are inspiring in your vids and your chats. That's important for us as a take away from your vid. Give yourself a FULL 6 WEEKS (probably more) to adjust to your new life. You have NEVER been here before...you have NEVER been parents of a toddler AND a new born. Life will never be the same as it was...do not expect it to ever go back...but it will be wonderful in its own new way! Embrace the change for what it is! I love your vids and your life and your content! Keep it coming - I thrive on it and look forward to it each week!

I just had my 4th baby about three weeks before your Olivia. He also needs to be held and cuddled a lot (ok like all day long and night lol). I’ve been using a ring sling and baby carrier a lot. It’s just easier and mentally freeing to have your hands available. Also I think it’s okay to give up some things at this time. We here and there skip church because the sleep we get starts our week off on a high note. The days we don’t go to mass we are listening to a podcast and then I ask my children a question regarding it and to either write or draw their answers out. They love it!

But as you will see your beautiful little Olivia will grow quickly and become more settled. When you are on very little sleep it can be very difficult to all parts of your mental/spiritual and physical self. Give your self grace and soon when you get back to a regular sleep which will come things will level out again. ❤️

It’s difficult with a baby and a toddler. It get much easier past the 6 month mark. The newborn phase is hard, it’s also difficult on a relationship because you both are working so hard and there doesn’t seem to be much of a break with little ones. I try to always remember the days are long, but the years are short, they go by so fast! I believe I have a 3 year old and a 11 month old now. This last year literally flew by, and at the time it seemed really hard and long. My three year old is getting much more independent now.

You guys are in the trenches right now. It “will” get better over time. The one piece of advice I can give, if you are not already doing it, is to give each other some time: 30 minutes or an hour to “just go and do you baby” time. For a nursing mom this can be tough so try to have your time right afterwards. Proud of you sharing your vulnerability. It’s a muscle of strength. Keep pushing and remember their is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus so don’t think twice about. He knows your because he lives there. Take care and my husband and I really hope to join you guys on your next trip. Get some rest Eat Move Rest fam. Last nugget: take a full day off from social media. Just turn it off. You won’t miss much, I promise.

As a homeschooling Mama of 4 my advice would be...things will never go back to "normal" but your life as parents to 2 will expand..be better than ever...then there will be a new normal...it just takes a while to find your groove. Also, if you can prep/cook the food for the next 2-3 days your days will run smooth(er)...pre cook the oatmeal, beans, grains... go ahead and chop the lettuce, veg, and fruits, pre make any dressing, dips ect...that way there's less stress around meal times

If it’s in any way possible, get an actual full night alone! We took turns having a night out with friends then staying in a hotel or with friends. (In fact, gearing up for such a weekend with a close friend who is a mother of 3 and needs a night away.) We took it in turns so no jealousy issues arose and it was super helpful. Even just planning such a night/weekend was incredible fun and was instantaneous relief.

🦋🤍🦋 Awe That was really good to hear that you’re actually human and things don’t always go the way you want them to and it is really hard to make choices that are in the highest good of everyone Downtime is just as important so being overly busy and not getting what you need whether it’s family time or rest isn’t going to help propel you forward it’s gonna drain you and then you’re gonna be uninspired to do what it is you enjoy doing especially if you’re too busy and it starts to feel like work instead of feeling like pleasure because that’s where your passion is it’s pleasurable once it stops being pleasurable it’s going to feel like a chore Definitely consider taking some time off just for you guys without anything on the menu nothing scheduled no commitments just time to be who you are and dump it yourself up if you can’t get to something you scheduled or wanted to do because believe me if it was that important it would’ve happened You have to be gentle and kind with yourself and you must have compassion for your situation as well as for your individuality Being a public figure is hard work especially when you have so much going on in your immediate family Babies are so awesome but they’re unpredictable and they don’t do schedules I think there’s a lot to learn from that They pretty much go with the flow So sometimes they’re not feeling so well and then you realize well they’re not getting enough sleep or they’re not getting enough play time or maybe they’re not getting enough air or enough movement And what about enough nature All those things are really important so just try to relax take it easy and if you can’t put out regular videos don’t beat yourself up about it I think when we make commitments we hold her selves to strongly to them we forget to still play and have fun we take her self too seriously and that can also prburn us out

@@EatMoveRest it really is I watch my daughter drive herself bananas which is an a bad thing because we like bananas… She’s essentially single parent Monday through Saturday with four children and two of them are very small one of them is about to turn into an Anna is only four months old so it really is a lot and I had to keep reminding her it’s important to purge to organize her to know when to throw in the towel even if you can’t do everything in one fell swoop give yourself a list and each time you’re done with something check it off the box and try to get one thing a day but the most important thing is self-preservation because you must maintain yourself or everything else will fall apart and family is important but so are you We tend to get in that right where we keep giving and giving and we haven’t given anything to ourselves but if you don’t feed yourself and take care of yourself there’s nothing left and I know you know that but sometimes it helps to be reminded Sending you so much love 🦋🙏🦋

Aaron and Dusty, first of all I wish I could hug you both. Through the grace of God you are doing wonderful. Going from 1 to 2 children can be really hard, and you have to take it sometimes one hour at a time. Don’t beat yourself up if the schedule doesn’t happen. It takes a lot of leaning on God‘s grace to make it through, and suddenly one day you will realize that it’s not as hard as it used to be. It feels encouraging to know that you guys are real people and you also have real struggles, just take a deep breath and do your best. Your channel is all about inspiring others to eat move and rest our best, just remember to do what’s best for you guys, and if that means staying home then stay home. As for church, God is within us and everywhere around us...praying from home is just as good as going to church if you ask me....God asks us to pray, love him and to love one another, to be kind, compassionate, understanding and everything else that falls under the umbrella of this beautiful word call LOVE. Love your videos and your recipes...oh and Max and Olivia are soooo cute :-) Blessings to you both.

I just love your little family. I first need to know where your sunglasses are from?! Also how do you suggest prepping to take meals to work. My husband and I both work outside the home and then in the evenings we are both tired and we have a toddler that is constantly go go go. We want to do the vegan lifestyle we just find it hard to prep for

Love the season you are in. Take it one day at a time. Keep focused on the moment. The rhythm of life is like the tides moving in and out, high and low, stormy and calm. Remember when the sun rises it’s a new day and when the sun sets the craziness of the day is over. Spirituality come from within, you have a direct connection and it is with you wherever you are. It’s ok to ask for help all mamas ( and dads too) need a break sometimes. From a mom of 4 young adults who challenged their dad and me in ways we never could have imagined or prepare for. They are all good people and we are bonded. You can find hate, doom and gloom everywhere if you look for it. You are on this earth because your ancestors survived all of the challenges they encountered. Disease, famine, war, weather, starvation, and more. You are the product of survivors and so are your children!

Wow these are really great tips. I've recently become aware of lead hazards in even modern colorful dinnerware sets and enamel cooking stuff like pots and citrus juicers as well as many other items I didn't expect to have lead in.Lead Safe Mama has a lot of info on it,she uses a heavy metals tester.

Omg your kids are adorable and actually your whole family is beautiful. My family of five also work on living chemical free and that has made my kids super good at smelling any chemicals and scents miles away 😀

Ok…. My tips: 1. Lower your expectations. Cut yourself some slack. This is an immensely (beautiful but also) crazy tough season of your lives. Make a list of non negotiables you want to achieve each day/week and be flexible enough to adjust that list. You won’t get a medal at the end of the day if you haven’t done it all, but everyone in the fam suffers if you’re running on empty. 2. When my kids were little (same as yours now) I would get a babysitter two mornings a week just to give me space, air to breathe, go for a coffee, whatever. It was an absolute game changer. 3. Most of all, be kind to yourself.💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

….. ooops, I meant you won’t get a medal if you do it all.😊
