I drove head-on into a parked semi in the dark and totaled my parents' car. The front end was squished in and I have no idea how I drove it home. All I got was a cut lip. Miracle I didn't die.

As my Mom always says, "it wasn't your time to go yet." God knows what he is doing in our lives and uses such experiences to help us grow as humans. My sons (ages 5 months and 6 years old at the time) and I were is a horrible car accident 5 years ago. My then 6 year old said, "God protected us in a bubble, Mom" and he couldn't have said it any better. I understand all of the aftermath that comes with such an experience but don't forget to turn to God for healing and peace. Happy Holidays from Arizona!

I know how you felt during the accident. I was also in a very bad roll over in the highway when my car rolled over around 6 times, nothing happened to me or my son, but the car was destroyed. It is a terrified experience because you realized, Oh My God, we almost died. Thank God nothing happened to you all, keep up the good work.

The wreckage is horrific and your family suffered no harm so that you could deliver this Christmas message. I’ve seen death from a bad wreck like yours. One of the tips that I've learned is that to always set a boundary for driving fatigue - no matter HOW CLOSE the next exit is or city, if I've met my tired/fatigue threshold, I'm pulling over to the nearest safest section of the freeway shoulder. Glad you're ok! 20 miles or 5 miles, convincing yourself it's "not too far, just make it there", is not worth risking safety.

We got hit a week ago and it totaled our small car. Three adults and my baby granddaughter (9 months old). Air bags went off and the explosion of that affected my husband's hearing (driver) and we all have bruised ribs and other bruises. We also feel very fortunate. Angels are real. Rear facing carseat in the center back seat for certain in case people don't have them there! Baby wasn't affected at all! So so thankful!

I had an accident earlier this year that wasn’t as severe as yours. But I was driving alone with my 2 girls in the backseat and it shook me so bad. Life could end and does for some, in the blink of an eye. I blamed myself and struggled feeling confident as a mommy. It’s been a bit of a journey but I do believe that all these things work together for good. Every trial comes with a blessing if you are willing to look for it and accept it into your life/soul. So happy you are all ok ♥️

So glad you are all alive and well and what a blessing that is. You are so right, we are spiritual beings in a human body and life can be so short. Our daughter passed away in her sleep at 35 (she had a history of epilepsy/seizures since age 16) on November 8th of this year and it made us stop and think about how we were living our lives and what we were making important that in fact is not important! The Lord will never leave your or abandon you and we all have a day to be born and a day to die and you guys certainly had guardian angels watching over you. God bless you and your little family and have a wonderful Christmas!

Thank you for this great touch base video. Just discovered you guys this past summer after searching the internet for plant based recipes. My dad had just been operated for a quadruple by pass and i felt like it was a wake up call for me to start taking care of me. I was good for 3 months them i made unhealthy choices and i now 2 months later i am still struggling to get back on track. This is going to be one of the moments in your life that you'll remember if you ever question whether God is watching over you. This was absolutely a miracle. I had something similar happen in a car when I could have been seriously hurt or even killed. To this day I really don't know how I made it through a traffic jam where I should have slammed into some construction equipment. I remember the road workers coming to me when the car stopped and asking me how in the heck I got to the other side of them. This happened decades ago, but it's one of my favorite memories of God's protective hand on me.

Thank you for sharing your story and for not being afraid to declare your faith in God. About 30 years ago after working the second of 2 night shifts in the ICU (I’m a retired R.N.) I nodded off while driving home down an Atlanta highway. I woke up inches away from 2 orange cones that were a few feet from a stalled semi truck in the far right lane. Luckily no one was hurt but I was so shaken about what could have been that I cried and prayed thanks the rest of the way home. The only way that I can explain my experience is that God was protecting me. It was also a wake up call for me to strive to be a better person. After that, whenever I drove home from a night shift prayer was what got me home. We are His children and He loves us despite our flaws!

So glad you all had seat belts on and made it out safely! Sorry about your vehicle and trailer but they are just material things. Be kind to yourselves especially Erin. There is a movie called Manchester By The Sea where a bad accident occurs and the main character (played by Casey Affleck) is extremely hard on himself. The scene at the police station is unforgettable if you’ve ever seen it. The film is very sad but it does teach a valuable lesson that forgiving ourselves vitally important. Please be extra kind to yourself as we all have best wishes for you and your family.
