I am 62, never married, and never had children. All my life, I have considered my animals my family. My babies. I have also never had a time in my life when I did not have at least one pet in my life. I had a scare just the other day with my Amelia, my 11 1/2 year old Lab/Border Collie mix. She evidently only had a gastric problem, she is better, but the day I took her to the vet, my heart was in my throat thinking I may need to make that decision. So, never apologize for loving your animals like family. They truly ARE.

Sharing what an emotional and stressful day you had had was great, because people need to be reminded that stuff happens, and if one has prepped food so they can stay on track a) they wont slip up and eat unhealthy b) their mind and body will actually function better which can help with stress, situational depression. I used to eat an 80% cooked WFPB diet. I have switched to an 80% RAW plant-based diet and a 20% cooked WFPB diet. Since going RAW my energy level has skyrocketed and my cravings have gone away. I used to crave sweets. But since I now eat a lot of watermelons, pineapple, oranges, plums, peaches and etc., I no longer crave junk food and sweets. The fruit is so good, refreshing and sweet, I feel like I am rewarding myself (food-wise) all day long. I also need less sleep, I have higher energy levels, and the swelling and inflammation in my body is literally being sucked out of my body by all of the fruit that I am eating.

The first one passed away naturally of old age, but the second had to be put to sleep as she was suffering from cancer that had recurred multiple times. I'm so sorry about your sweet dog! 20 years ago, our family lived in Hong Kong and we had the sweetest dog named Jack. We couldn't take him with us when we moved back to the States because of a mandatory 6-month quarantine so we had to leave him with another family in Hong Kong. The two of you are absolute adorable angels! I love your simple approach and kind support to all who are seeing these great videos. Thank you so very much! WFPB diets may seem daunting at first, but they are a real gift, bc you acclimate to the new diet rather quickly, and between WFPB books, and meat substitutes, etc, this is the best gift to give yourself. When you see the changes to your body within that first week, you feel empowered to keep going. The “Krock’s” can probably attest to the mental/physical boost in the subtle changes that you will notice. I don’t know about others, but I do unfortunately cheat every so often, and have a regular meal; I chalk it up to a really packed day, super busy day, or just a really bad day......but it’s OK, it happens. Just promise yourself to try and get back on point the next day. We’re human.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Pets really are a part of the family. I have been transitioning to WFPB. When I looked into the chopper and bowl you use for salads I actually found a recommendation for another item in its reviews. Your salad not being chopped today made me think of it. It's awesome and so easy to use! Although, I hold it the opposite way from the pictures and chop right in the big bowl I'm gonna eat from, like one of the reviewers pictured. So quick and easy. I never have greens and fresh veggies go bad now and enjoy eating them so much more when chopped. Thanks for the tip that lead me to this item that makes salad so much tastier to eat. I love it so much I have one at home and one at the office now. Mine were $13.99 each. It's a little more now, but will probably drop again.
