Thanks for showing how you adapt when you don't have every ingredient for a recipe. Cooking with what we have is so important these days when we can't just make a quick run to the grocery store for a missing ingredient or two. Your videos are so grounding and calming to watch. Thanks for keeping them going. Blessings to you and your family.

This is how we eat. I love it! You are an awesome Mama and you’re rockin it! ❤️ I do believe moms that cook a lot become so smart and clever in the kitchen. Learned efficiency, sometimes the easy way and sometimes the hard way. But we learn and grow and do our best. I’m also a firm believer in cleaning the fridge to almost empty before we go to the grocery, for sure. Don’t waste if you can help it. Smart! Sometimes it’s down to rice and beans and a corn tortilla w quac....we love it. It’s fresh and made the way my kids enjoy it and will actually eat it. I enjoy you’re videos and admire you’re stamina! 😂 I’m a healthy and active 48 but have had some spine surgeries w plates installed. I have 3 amazing and smart and loving kids. We’re in a different season of our lives than you guys are! Mine are 15, 16, and 19. ❤️ They’re the best ever. I’m a single Mama but their dad is in our lives. I’ve always wanted a farm. As long as I can remember. It was that and move to the city and dance..I did that for years also. Probably why my body is trying to stop me. It I’m not letting it. Aaaanyway...we have a nice chicken coop w 9 good layers and one hen that is evil. Haha. You’d think he’d be calmer. Sheeesh. 😂 I inherited my family home w 3 acres and I absolutely love it here. It’s home. And it’s country. And the river is a Gator ride away. So that’s our little life. ❤️ I think you’re doing an amazing job in all of your callings and duties. You and your hubs are cute. You’re always loving on your kids and it’s just so cute. Be proud of yourself! And home and your style is dreamy and you’ve nailed that as well! Keep doing what you’re doing. I look forward to your success on your new farm.

Thanks for sharing these meals with us, you’re a great home cook! It’s a difficult job feeding a large family day after day and week after week. Those blue and white Corelle dishes brought back memories for me, they are the same ones I had when I got married in 1974. I had matching blue glasses and stainless flatware with rubberized blue handles. They were Corelle brand too. Most other people wanted gold or avocado kitchens, but I liked blue better.

Hi Lisa, I love watching your videos. They really inspire me. I would like to know what time you wake-up and sleep to get all this done ✅ I have a hard time with my energy and wanting to do all the homemaking I have to do daily. I’ve watched your other videos and I know you have help from your husband. I do too, but just having the patience and cooking, cleaning, and taking care of my girls daily is difficult. Anyhow, love your videos, home, and family. God bless ❤️

Steph S. Some people are born more energetic. Don’t get down on yourself or compare yourself with someone who has a ton of energy. It’s ok if you are lower energy. I have three grown daughters that are lower energy. However, they also are the type of people who stop to smell the roses. We all have our strengths and weaknesses. You are wonderfully designed by God to fill the role He has for you!

Thank you for responding, God bless you beautiful person ❤️

Steph S You’re welcome. I am a grandmother and I remember the busy, tiring days of being a young mother. It can be quite a whirlwind! But it is the most important job in the world, in my opinion. Love on those little ones and do what it takes to be the loving, kind mother you know they deserve. Treat them with respect and require them to treat you with respect. Getting everything done is overrated, unless the mess sends you over the edge! It’s a balancing game, but the little ones are the important thing, and your husband. It’s great that he helps you! My generation mostly wasn’t so fortunate. God bless.

Cynthia Fisher I am very grateful for your advice and feel much better. I pray more moms hear your advice and realize that we each have our own gifts from God. It’s okay not to have it all done and we don’t always feel that way. We compare ourselves to the perfect life that is portrayed on social media. I don’t mean Lisa because she has a video where she’s sincere and spoke about not being perfect and getting help from her husband. She’s very real. However, I still wanted to know how she had that energy because I have bad days. It’s hard to even get out of bed at times. God says we can do all things through him, so I’ll keep that in mind!Thank you Miss Cynthia, take care!🙏🏼❤️

Every meal I'm like "we have no food left, I'll have to make pesto pasta and call it a meal" and then I find something else to do. It's magic. That said, we do eat smaller portions then usual! I'm struggling with protein, I only have a cup of chickpeas and half a cup of lentils left. Luckily we have a neighbors who brings us eggs once a week. Today I made birchermüesli for breakfast (we're out of flour) and for lunch I put potatos, onions, and a small dish of eggs and chard from the garden, on a baking tray and called it a meal. I had half a red pepper and some lettuce for freshness. Who knows what I'll make up for dinner?!

I like how you keep things simple and healthy that is what I am working toward for my family. I would love info on why you chose to eat this way (seems kind of a mix of traditional/paleo?). Did you grow up eating this way or did you have to transition and did you have to get your husband on board? Were your kids raised on this diet or did you transition some of them at some point? If there is a video or blog about it just point me there! Lol.

Beautiful video. I notice you use your cast iron pans for “wet” cooks like risotto and chicken pot pie. Do you find it troubles the seasoning at all? I have wrought iron pans but typically use stainless steel for wet cooking because I was told it can upset the seasoning and even impart a metallic taste? No idea if that’s true or not. (Brand of cookware I use is Solidteknics if anyone was interested in one piece cookware. Their stainless has no nickel, which is why I love it as I am allergic).
