I am curious if you dealt with or deal with picky eaters and if so, how do you handle it? I make homemade meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and my two year old is extremely picky. I have a very hard time getting him to eat any vegetables or meat when he was a wonderful eater and loved those things up until 16 months. He woke up one day and began refusing those foods and has not improved in a year. Thanks! I love your videos and relate to you a lot.

I know that Sarah from our Tribe of Many says she just keeps re-introducing the particular food & basically doesn't make a huge deal of it. They say toddlers get most of their nutrition from breakfast & lunch so you can ignore the veggies & meat at dinner. It will pass, it always does.

A great way to do it is to trick them also! You can blend anything up and include it into a recipe that they like. For example if he likes grilled cheese sandwiches blend up some carrot into a baby food consistency and spread it in the sandwich before adding the cheese. I did a lot if this sort of thing with my daughter. There are lots of recipes for deserts like brownies that are actually somewhat healthy that are made with zucchini and other veggies.

Love watching these! I do have a question, though. What do you eat for breakfast and lunch? Dinner is one of those meals that I typically plan for but I am terrible about my other 2 meals. They end up being not as healthy as I’d like them to be because I throw them together...

I have started buying my organic ground beef at Sam’s club in bulk. Along with some other freezable or long term storage. Almost everything else we get at Aldi. I think she’s said in the past that it just takes time and consistency. They get used to the sour taste over time since they’re exposed to sour/sourdough things during each day. My toddlers aren’t into yet either but I’m working my way up to that level of sour through plain yogurt and fermented salsas. Keep trying 😊

Your recipes always inspire me to cook. We have always eaten a huge amount of venison and elk, because we are hunters here in Montana, and also because I have a beef allergy. If you ever want to make your wild game indistinguishable from beef in flavor, use a marinade consisting of the oil of your choice, a dash of ACV, a dash of lemon juice, soy sauce, worcershire, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Let it sit about 2 hours, and it's good to go. I've served venison and elk steaks prepared this way to folks who say they hate the taste of wild game, and they think they've eaten the best beef steak ever, ha! Sometimes I tell them (sometimes I don't :D ) At any rate, I just thought I'd pass it on since you eat a lot of venison also. It's especially helpful if you get a particularly wild tasting deer, which isn't ideal, but it can happen. You may already know this but just in case you didn't, give it a try! As always, looking forward to the next upload!

3:03 Praw-vonts the c ending of Provence is pronounced similarly to a voiced “s.” This sounds closer to a z than an s, but because this isn’t an English word, it sounds more like the ts sounding z in mozzarella. It is a compound sound, so the t is very gentle and not a hard sound. I hope this helps.

Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your way of feeding your family! Your grocery/meal planning system clicked in my head in a way that no other plan has. I have a 6-year-old and when he was a baby, it was far easier to cook well-balanced meals. As he got older, I enrolled in college and life just got really overwhelming. I thought that meal planning had to be a meal-by-meal, item-by-item, PERFECT system to be worthwhile...but it turns out, I'm a lot like you and I feel so stifled by all that needless planning. Having staples on hand has literally changed the game in our house. I'm loving being in the kitchen again, loving how much we're saving, and the cherry on top is that we've seamlessly made a return to eating more whole foods. It doesn't hurt that we also live in MO so I can always get seasonal ideas from you! Love the videos so much, thank you again.
