I stayed at potters park for a year, loved it,the people were great. Plan ed on developing my land where sprague and sycan come together, but in 2021 three operations , health much better, developing land still plan. Snow falling through jeffery pines or ponderosas on a really sunny frozen day and you see ice crystals falling, its magical. The land will grow on you.

Permitting and building costs have really risen over the last few years. Glad your health has improved and best of luck developing your place

Hello, we finally got to go on our land. We found out real quick how muddy it is up there. And someone had been on our land doing alot of work with the Rocks up there. They had done alot of work. We are excited to come back in the spring to get areas cleared so we can get work done.

Glad to hear you made it. It's actually pretty dry right now. And warm. The ground is freezing some though, so even the muddy spots aren't nearly as bad as they will be. Normally the spring build season doesn't start until late May or early June, depending on just how late the snow stays. Provided we have any snow. We should have at least a foot by now. Kind of concerning that its so dry. Have a great holiday!

At night in Klamath Falls, it's been in the 20s. I sold my land the cost of building was just too much for me. I purchased a Ford E150 van and converted it to an RV so that by the end of next summer I plan to be back on the road as a nomad and travel the USA from coast to coast. Good luck with the farm and Merry Chrismas, Mike

Can't say we're surprised on the building costs. Things have really rocketed over the last 10 years. Bummer that it priced you out. Safe travels! Lots of beautiful sights and country to see!

How deep are your fence post
@SpragueRiverHomestead Жыл бұрын
The wood posts are 30+ inches wherever possible. Lots of places we're lucky to get in 24" deep due to the rock. The metal posts are the standard depth, 2" past the fins. Rock is a real issue.
