Well my oh my, that came out quite well, didn't it? I think you actually did stumble upon a way to gain "feathering" without alcohol inks. Very interesting!

You are much braver than me for sure! What a cool effect though, can’t wait to see what cool things you create with it!

That is neat!! Do this again but put a layer of epoxy then some drops of the PU resin, a layer of epoxy, drops of Pu and repeat until the mold is filled. Would love to see how that works out. :D Oh and my thoughts are not letting the epoxy layers cure before adding more for best effect. :D - Heidi

I really like it I think I can come up with ways to manipulate the PU RESIN . Thank You So Much for the info Steve 👍👍👍👍

Oooh what a great experiment. I’d be interested to see if you put heavy drops on the top and allowed them to naturally fall down, what it would look like. Must check out your PU link!

What about adding a few percent polyurethane to epoxy and stir it together thoroughly. Will that make it a bit more flexible and less brittle?
@vickicole24853 жыл бұрын
This is amazing! I was just thinking yesterday afternoon ‘I wonder if you can use PU and epoxy together’ and boom out comes this video!! I can’t wait to get experimenting 😃 thank you for another great video 💗

hi steve my PU resin came today , and i love it . would i be able to top coat it with Epoxy resin ? thankyou sandra x

I wonder what would happen if you did it in layers?
@Bubo688 Жыл бұрын
Me too. First a layer of epoxy then layer of pu . Epoxy is very expensive but it doesn't affect polystyrene so first layer of epoxy then layer after layer of pu.

I've been wanting to try this since I started resin a couple years ago but I was scared to because I didn't want to ruin any of my molds 😂 thank you for this!

Another cool experiment that opens doors for creativity! I wonder if you would pour the PU resin in, if it would make a different affect

I really like that smoky result! If you have a round mold (or use this mold) you could do a few greens, or a variety of colors, (if you do layers next time) tinge the clear pale blue-then put a tiny fishy in there!😁💖👍

Are you going to do another video where you don't mix the PU resin down into the epoxy resin? I am curious if it would sink on its own as it cured or if it was down only because you pushed it

Maybe fill the mold ¾ with regular resin, drop the other resin in, then continue to fill the mold with the regular resin to push the other resin down?
