Enjoy your chats Sherry. I am learning Greek and look forward to finding my tribe and hobbies in retirement. My retirement date is June 2025. I will be 55 and finish a long career in cancer nursing.

So glad you are enjoying the chats. Cancer nursing sounds like an emotionally heavy career. How are you feeling about the upcoming retirement? Looking forward, or leaving reluctantly?

Mike retired earlier than i did. I had a harder time leaving my job as a nurse until he finally said that it was time. Interesting about the dopamine.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I think that mine was an easier transition, because it was more gradual. I can imagine that your profession offered you a huge sense of fullfillment, and that is something you really missed.

@Aegean-Dreams probably so. I had worked hard to be good at critical care and felt it would be wasted. Such nonsense.

I retired in 2020 from a career I loved. You are so right about the value of relationships. In 2023, you were the person I met and I thought we had known each other in another life. You shared so much with me. I will be eternally greatful. Learning new things each day and moving are important to me. I love being the boss of my time.
