I've always thought these conversations have a funny element to them; Women are all around us, they're in our families, they're in our work place, they speak the same language, they could presumably give us all these answers, but they're either totally unaware of the workings of their own mechanisms, or can't reliably interpret them, so we have to hypothesize about them as if they're a different species that we can't directly communicate with. There's something absurdly silly about it all.

@@folatooreal8582 a man looks his best when he’s DISCIPLINED and takes care of his body. When he’s COMMITTED to his health, fitness, grooming, etc. Someone who lacks character isn’t going to look their best. Having game is part of understanding that it’s not about being entitled to the woman, but about what you can provide her in exchange for her company. Again, it’s about giving and not just receiving, which relates to game. I also mentioned detachment which is part of game. Your status is also higher if you’re a leader. If you’re the scrub in your group and not the leader than you don’t have very high status, right? It gets much easier when you realize that it all ties together. Of course it’s about looks, game and status. I could go on and on about it in more detail. I think what I’ve said so far is more helpful than just telling someone it’s about looks, game and status. The average person struggling with women doesn’t know why their looks, game and status aren’t working. They need to start with the basics otherwise women will pick up on their lack of character. There are exceptions to the rule but I’m talking about long term successful relationships.

The kind that majority of men seem to get, especially after marriage, kids etc. Some men, work at not letting themselves go, others don't put the effort into staying healthy or in shape. I think the boob thing, or the big boob thing, is at least partially connected to clothing. That is breasts are a dimorphic signifier, but are largely covered up by clothing. So men's attraction to big boobs is partially because they stand out despite the clothing and get men's brains all revved up. But if we were all running around sans clothes, the size of boobs might lose some of their power.
@alliccat54822 жыл бұрын
That's an interesting thought and I think you may be onto something. I think it's a good point. There may be something to the element of mystery and imagination that makes big boobs so desirable. I mean it can also signal how much a woman can breastfeed, so I have heard that women that have too small of a chest might have the problem of running out of breastmilk for the baby, whereas women with lager chests, well that isnt a problem for them - of course there must also be a cultural side to the matter on HOW MUCH men are attracted to breasts depending on the time and the place, and the era that men find themselves in, but there must be some evolutionary factor in the reason why. After all, breasts are essential in feeding babies and therefore in procreation, whereas other parts of the body, such as the knees, have no part in procreation, and are not deemed attractive in most cultures (none that I have heard of)

Dr. Buss is correct re. "size" mattering. It's correlative to a woman's physiological needs, I believe. The "size" only matters in terms of how it "fits" with the woman's anatomy and response. Every woman is different. Keep the faith. There is someone that "fits" everyone--- physically, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually. :) In terms of height and breadth of shoulders, I see it as also correlating to the woman. I'm a tall woman with broad shoulders, so having someone taller with strong, broad shoulders is attractive. Women want men to be *more*. That's my theory. Ha. Taller, larger, smarter, more emotionally self-possessed, more secure, more of a leader, including spiritually. Did I mention smarter? ;) Someone she can look up to, be stimulated by, feel safe with, and be proud of. And I don't think this is age-dependent. I'm over 50 and nothing has changed.

13:04 - Variability in female anatomy should not be discounted. The old saw that "all vaginas are the same" is simply not true. The female reproductive anatomy is greatly varied in size and shape. To put a fine point on it, some vaginas are snug at two fingers, and other can accommodate an entire hand. It appears that female "size queens" may simply be looking for "the right fit". Too be sure some women love the novelty of a "large penis", but living with one on a day-to-day basis is not preferable. And yet, around this very point a Madison Avenue marketing industry has developed to cater to male insecurities about themselves. The human psychological condition is frail, vulnerable, ultimately self-centered, and perhaps our greatest existential undoing.
@InferiorGamer2 жыл бұрын
In regards to the breast question, it's very important to highlight that Human Females are one, if not the only animal to have permanently enlarged breasts, this is a fact. However if you ask why, you might become very confused. Breasts for most animals develop while nursing, the female becomes engorged, nurses her child, and the breasts eventually shrinks back to its original size. The reason for this is because breasts themselves are very encumbering, if you think from the perspective of hunter/gatherers, having 2 spheres of fat bouncing on your chest as you hunt an animal seems very counter-intuitive, so again, why have them? The reason isn't what many people want to hear, but nature isn't concerned with equality. Breasts are one of many commodities women have to attract a male, and in doing so the women circumvents the necessity of having to hunt herself. Therefore, from an evolutionary perspective, the further women 'lean' into developing physical, sexual commodities, the less they will be responsible to hunt, and they themselves will be much safer because again they aren't hunting. Evolution ALWAYS has a purpose, NOTHING is wasted, evolution only progresses if it reaps benefits. The implication of this is that women sexualizing themselves evolutionary, actually lead to so many benefits, that's the route they went down. However for men this isn't just some treat they get to enjoy, they will compete for what they perceive as the most fertile female. This is identified again by the physical attributes of the woman. This again benefits women because this process is a self fulfilling prophecy, the dominate male will conquer the weaker males, ensuring the women gets the male with the best genes. So, although women in modern society hate the idea of being sexualized, it was exactly that trait which benefitted women for the majority of Humanities existence. Other traits include soft skin, women typically have less ridged facial features, wider hips to assist in birth, while doubling as a desirable sexual trait, similar to breasts. Overall it's very interesting to muddle through this, and I could be entirely wrong, however this is my interpretation.
@ianleary57802 жыл бұрын
Also, breasts double as floatation assists. In order to escape predatory animals on land, women would be safest going into the water. (This assumes the camp was in a place with no hippos or crocodiles) They might have to wait in water too deep for predators for a little while with their children clinging to them. Subcutaneous fat and fat gathered at the chest level would make women more buoyant. As you say--evolution doesn't waste anything.

"Women tend to prefer men who are physically fit and well-toned, but not muscle bound." I've been sayin this for a long time. Even More Plates More Dates on youtube said it best. Going to the gym and getting fit is great, and definitely attracts women. But at some point, when your muscles reach a certain size and goes beyond, the only ones who will be impressed will be other men. Most women don't give two shits about overly big muscles. If anything, it scares most of them away. Something like Brad Pitt in Fight Club is the LIMIT if we're talking about attracting women purely from a body composition perspective. Going beyond that is a male gaze magnet.

Great video I wish it was a longer discussion , I’ve listened to David Buss speak before & has interesting points. I would like to add that dealing with affairs (generalizing) 70% women who’ve had affairs do build an emotional connection hence falling in some fashion of love. And affairs that female teachers have with young men can’t because of the young man’s status or earning potential. I believe it’s a desire for novelty. Women and men differ when it comes to long term monogamy. Women on average tire of monogamy after 1-3 years factoring in a history of having many sexual partners, men who tire of sex after is generally 9-12 years. For women oxytocin is a bonding hormone and like dopamine it’s addictive. After a high number of partners it effects bonding to a degree. For men it’s vasopressin that is the bonding hormone. This could be argued against but the release of high amounts of oxytocin for women during sex and breastfeeding is an element in pair bonding. The amusing point about oxytocin for men it causes the penis to become flaccid after completion. The mention of penis size, an average size of erect penis is 5.1” and many women don’t prefer a large penis during monogamy so the itch to have a hung partner might be for a one night stand or an affair. This is probably more biological I’m male so I don’t know. Fashion is interesting because of the color red having a sexual appeal and of course the studies done on how high heels accentuate a woman’s appearance and appeal. The points about a man being a provider, some of the material I’ve read a woman (again generalizing) prefer a mate to have earning potential for the future. Interesting is the fact that around 30% of households women out earn men in America (age differences, health and children also factor in) so I don’t believe all women want a rich man but someone who has potential to acquire resources. So not to offend all women about pair bonding, multiple sex partners and oxytocin. I find it interesting that heavy pornography use with men and how vasopressin is a male bonding hormone. Pornography could probably lead to ED with men being more visually stimulated. And a lot of the data can be found from the NIH, Brookings Institute, and colleges.

There are clearly aspects of both gene gathering and mate switching in women's psychology. We must bear in mind that human psychology developed for a troop (as in group of gorillas or other apes) lifestyle. Monogamy in the form of a single partner for life was risky behavior. A man--even a strong man--could die at any time. A woman without a backup plan had an uncertain future. A woman who had other men on the side had options in the event that her primary died. Let us bear in mind as well that a woman during our troop lifestyle time--more than 95% of human history--spent a lot of her time pregnant and with young children in her care. She would be engaged in a never-ending quest for security. This security would take many forms at many levels, including her social standing in the troop. Her strategies had to be flexible enough for her to adapt to a wide variety of circumstances, given that our evolution took place under conditions that are somewhat static from a birds-eye view but intensely dynamic from the perspective of individuals. Illicit sexual relationships, or non-monogamous sexual encounters sanctioned by rites and rituals, would have functioned as a glue binding the troop together. Obviously, non-monogamous sexuality would have been only one of the glues binding a troop together, but this form of cohesion would have functioned distinctly differently from strict hierarchical and other forms of cohesion, as well as reinforcing those means of cohesion by dint of operating in a different dimension. Human beings are complex and adaptable, even as we try to impose rigidity for the sake of security. I would go so far as to say that human sexuality is only partially about reproduction. The social aspect of sexuality is extremely important because it helps create opportunities for women to have the maximum number of surviving children with the maximum variety of men through the establishment of social dynamics that enable the troop as a whole to survive the various stressors that would have been in effect throughout our evolution.

This might qualify as one of the most distinguished ‘statements of the bleeding obvious’ video on KZbin. Collectively, men and women have no problem discovering their own and one another’s sexual desires, whether they can explain them academically or not. The problem facing our society is squaring our sexual preferences and impulses with the social need to secure durable, supportive and healthy environments for new life. The relentless propaganda of a small number of sex-selfish activists has effectively distorted the law and served to dismantle long evolved structures designed to secure the integration of new generations. In the name of progressive reformation, blinkered activism has given us terminal chaos. We can talk and talk, but too late. As the saying goes - you can’t mend a broken mirror.

Also stop going for the best looking person you can possibly attain, try and vary things a bit, you're not under any contract to commit to someone on a first date, and holding out so long for that perfect 10 is just going to harm your confidence and make you more inexperienced.

Thank you for your Great Advice for Men! I say just be yourself, if the best Man you can be, isn't good enough for her, than it isn't a good fit. So, move on and know there's a better fit for you if you keep being yourself. When you find a woman that's got you singing "Blessed Union Soul's" - She likes Me for Me than You'll know, because you'll feel Blessed by having her in your life. So, in the meantime, just keep focusing on building good things for your life while keeping your plan intact. I think, it's better a Man has a Plan for his life in place already, because how else will you know if the Lady fits in with your life, goals and dreams. My thought is, if your a Man that sticks to your plan then you'll end up finding the perfect hand to come beside you and help you keep sticking to your plan!

Best mates are those that are best at helping women bring up their kids. i.e. most likely to lead to successful kids in their adult life. Whether they have kids or not, this is the trait that women are looking for the most. It's their judgement of whom is best at bringing kids up, that varies from one woman to another, and at different stages of their maturity, but the traits mentioned here pretty much covers a lot of it.

Any guy on here that struggles with women and are upset about it, I ask you, do you play video games? If you aren’t willing to give that up to find a “mate” then stop complaining because what girl or woman would be attracted to that honestly. Nobody’s gonna think you’re sexy if you aren’t sexy. What Women Want Short-Term: Physical Attractiveness: cues that may represent health and good genes. Masculine Features: a strong jawline and a high shoulder-to-hip ratio (markers of good genes) and are considered attractive. Long-Term: Resources: man's ability to provide and willingness to share those resources Height: men who are taller than they are and a bit above average in height. Both Physical Fitness: men who are physically fit and well-toned but not overly muscle-bound.
@EssPhour2 жыл бұрын
Physically what women are attracted to based on the scientific studies I have read. 1- Height generally ranks the highest as creating visual attraction, tied at 2nd place is hip to shoulder ratio and pens size, the optimal hip to shoulder ratio being the golden ratio. Also all humans are drawn to people with better facial symmetry. A couple of interesting random studies I read, one showed that women's level of attraction to men with more square jaw lines increased to a higher level when they were ovulating, and another study I read showed that when a woman is ovulating that men found the sound of her voice more attractive then when she wasn't.

0:55 I think the definition of "good genes" needs to be expanded a bit. What is generally discussed is physical traits while behavior and intellect are generally ignored. If the intent of mating is to push your genes into the future, behavior and intellect also count, not just broad shoulder and square jaws (but I get this as well).

@@boldenggar hahaha not gonna lie I laughed. True, intelligence now confers survival now because of social constructs we ourselves made. However if we all are animals, what we deem as intelligence now, I'm inclined to believe, doesn't really mean shit. We don't need aqueducts to survive longer. We need aqueducts for an EASIER life for our progeny. But for our lifetime? We'd probably live well with a tendency to acquire lean body mass compared to peers, in which could be related to testosterone and shoulder width. It's hard to evolve into a race where women would be as equally attracted to men with broad shoulders as much as a lanky, slouched individual with high intelligence because people dont die enough anymore so natural selection could preferentially give a survival advantage to women who like nerdy guys.

No good genetics are good genetics (high iq, height, broad shoulders, facial bones structure, good skin) These are the things that women attracted to, not behaviors and confidence and charisma, these things are not inheretable.
@jayceh2 жыл бұрын
Women want sperm from jawline/symmetry/broad shoulders And then they want the resource man to pay for the baby. This is the optimization for them. Men want to mate with as many women as possible and have them all bear seed. That's optimal for us. Not many in our society can optimize, so we all trade off, substantially through monogamy for men, single mate for women.
@Realhater13522 жыл бұрын
@@meatheadscientist8061 IQ is much less genetic than other physical attributes. The amount iq that comes from actual heredity is disputed and the data is shit (if you look at some of the studies the graphs look like randomized scatter plots). The others are right lmao intellect comes from your nurture but your physical attributes are what are more genetic overall.
