And all carnivore say fiber is killing is all
@Ruktiet9 ай бұрын
Because many people who benefit from carnivore are people who have small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) or intestinal methanogen overgrowth (previously known as “methane SIBO”), which both can cause IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) and immune hyperactivity due to the strong immunomodulatory role of the small intestine, and the high permeability, through which lots of bacterial toxins, metabolites and food antigens can seep into the bloodstream if the intestinal barrier is inappropriately high (“leaky gut”). Carnivore helps by starving the small intestinal overgrowth (almost always E. coli K12 and Klebsiella species), which thrive off of carbohydrates. Thus it normalizes the small intestinal microbiome, but it doesn’t target the root cause of WHY SIBO occurred in the first place, which is often due to FOOD POISONING. People with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD; DON’T CONFUSE THIS WITH IBS), often have dysbiosis in the colon and actual autoimmunity to their mucosal tissue proteins. Often, probiotics and diversifying the large intestinal microbiome works here.

Don’t do this if you have non-constipation IBS, because in that case you very likely have SIBO, which requires prokinetics and sometimes antibiotics (rifaxmin; non-absorbed, local antibiotic). It is very often triggered by food poisoning due to a complicated mechanism which leads to autoimmunity (anti-vinculin antibodies) to nerve cells in the small intestine (interstitial cells of Cajal) which regulate cleaning peristalsis (migrating motor complex). A lack of these migrating motor complex cleaning waves results in SIBO.

These people are implying red meat will get stuck to the colon walls and give you cancer. Unfortunately my mother is in this camp currently. I've searched your channel and I cant find a video on this topic. I was wondering if this would be a topic you'd feel comfortable making a video on so I can show this to people, made from a source I trust, in an attempt to educate them. Thank you for what you do!

@@GunfighterAlpha Biggest problem is low stomach acid but people think its to much and use antacids. If you don't have enough acid then food rots and that's all foods in the stomach. I never get that feeling of I've eaten to much with fat and protean that I used to get with something like a typical Sunday dinner. Oddly I have seen it said that Fibre aids digestion by slowing transit but also prevents calories ( for want of a better word )being absorbed so which is it? Obviously she had to cut a lot of the SAD diet from her daily routine so that would have helped with toxins and carcinogen intake... but the fiber increase was palpable. I've personally switched to an average of 75g of fiber (almost all soluble, I'm not a big vegetable eater so fruits and nuts/seeds are where most of my fiber comes from) over the last 3 years and I've never felt better in my life! Humans likely ate 200g of fiber per day when we were roaming and nomadic foragers... as nothing had the caloric density and lack of fiber that today's hyperprocessed foods have, so it only makes sense to follow a dietary intake that mimics the one we spent 1000's or millions of years adapting to! 💪

These studies do not compare to carnivore. You can get most of these benefits even better by going carnivore. Fiber helps you deal with the consequences of eating plants. If you decide to get high quality fiber in moderate amounts by eating superfoods, I cannot argue with you. But if you just eat random plants, you are causing the problems you are fixing. Sprouts, microgreens, some seeds and nuts, high polyphenol berries are items that might be worth the disadvantage. It is important to consider sprouting and fermentation to increase the advantage and decrease the disadvantage. But it is dangerous to think that fiber itself is a superfood.

I eat a lot of meat. How do I get my fiber content up?
@jackrabbitism9 ай бұрын
I find this ongoing carnivore argument so bizarre. And the assertiveness behind it even more so. If it works for an individual, and solves some digestive problems they might have, great. But the assumption that plants are bad for us is just so weird. Obviously we have been eating plants for more than 200,000 years. And we’ve also been using the cliche that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. Meat - sure. But we’ve been eating more than just meat for a very long time. Lotsa love.
@dontfit63809 ай бұрын
@@jackrabbitismour ancestors of 200,000 years ago would have ate far more meat then plant. There just wasn’t plants as we think of today. They wasn’t lettuce or corn or much of anything like we have today. Plant food would have been eaten only in the case of starvation.

Def agree bout eating plants for fiber is just fixing the problem it’s causing. I started eating 200 grams of lean protein daily and hand no stool problems. As soon as I started eating spinach and tons of broccoli to get my fiber up my stools got rock hard lol. All this shit u hear is cap. Only eat more fiber if u actually have problems otherwise f what all these KZbin “doctors” be saying

Yeah right because our species (homo sapiens) evolved eating psyllium husks, chia seeds and flaxseeds. It's interesting how our ancestors that didn't consume these high fibre diets were taller with larger brains compared to more recent man from the last 10,000 years. A lot of wonderful studies that work in the context of standard contemporary dietary patterns that are high in ultra processed foods. There also exists recent studies that cast doubts on the health benefits of fibre. Of course, those studies don't sell too many supplements for the industrial food industry.

Thomas can i hear how you feel about this. I know you love your dogs. The people who work at places where they kill animals say they are getting traumatized they wished customers killed the animals they eat themselves. They are saying they are stressed out, poor sleep from all the killings and would trade anything for meat eaters to do the killings themselves.

So I guess you disagree with your carnivore friends and doctors. They say fiber is not really good and you see hundreds of people doing fantastic on a carnivore diet including myself since I stopped eating all vegetables and fiber. who is right and who’s wrong?

Everyone has their own truth, so there is no absolute right or wrong. In my opinion, the truth is that every food, when prepared properly and sourced ethically, offers unique health benefits. The key lies in embracing diets of abundance rather than cancellation (AKA: only meat, only veggies, only this, only that…).

I think it's based in what works for you. I did carnivore for a couple of months and fixed my gut. Now I'm back to Keto.

First: they say fiber, and refer to plants. Second: it is the microbiome and the brain which makes us individual. There is no general answer, upfront. Yet, the microbiome can be trained and changed within a few weeks. A good starting point: fermented food.

Ok now you need to explain why the carnivore diet has the same effects??? People who come from a paleo diet with issues and go carnivore to solve those issues???

This is so confusing, plenty of modern research says the complete opposite and says fibre is basically waste material that blocks you up, which also seems like common sense. Help. Can imagine it helping lose weight as it has no nutritional value.

I went to your link to Get a sample supply of seed probiotic. Interestingly, it’s by subscription only so you have to cancel if you just want to try it despite the fact that you said not to take it all the time. I detest marketing schemes like that. It might be a quality product, But when you force someone into a subscription, it says to me the product is Focused on getting money and has a slight scam feel. Also, when you go to the cart, they automatically puts two in your cart instead of one, furthering the scam feel. I’ve followed your channel for several years now and just turned back to it because I needed some motivation and I’m just letting you know that this is a real turn off that the first several videos I turned back to feel like just marketing videos.. I’m sure I’ll still come to your channel, but I can’t keep it in such a high regard as I used to. As a fellow business owner I just thought you’d want to know how that affects some of us. I understand the need for advertising, but I would sure value your channel more if you kept it more balanced. Again, I always appreciate your advice and information and the fact that you are not too proud too change with what’s out there information wise. Very commendable. Just offering my opinion on how your advertising has in my opinion got a little over the top.
