Not the same but in 2023 I left my long term secure job to work for myself. I'm an architect - technically design and drawings are content - but obviously its much different. Doing ok, but make less than I did as an employee. But no way do I want to go back to being an employee.

@@salpairadice I totally get that!! The time freedom, ability to make your own schedule, not having to report to a boss, etc can all make earning less money really worth it. If you are making it work, then I completely get why you wouldn't want to go back😅

Great ideas! How nice would it be to go into self-employment full time, but it is so nuanced in today's economy. I learn more conservative with my finances to, so no, I do not think you're crazy. You have a new subbie!
