, @tinassee, we all appreciate all the work you do! Btw, what happens if a person has dentures when they get arrested? How does a person deal with that, as you are told to not use regular toothpaste, and you need denture cleaner - that cleans teeth overnight, or cleans tge teeth quickly (says 3 mins so maybe 15- 30 mins). Items do personal, are they stolen? Are those cleaners, or even the plastic container to keep the teeth clean? Just some questions and thoughts?

It blows my mind when people think it's only drugs or very obvious offenses like murder, robbery, etc that can land you in jail. Yall, the police can lock you up in a county jail for damn near any charge without conviction. It's happened to me twice. First time I let a guy drive my car. We were in a casual relationship and didn't think to do much more than ask if he was licensed to drive. He said yes, so no worries. Wrong. Got stopped at a license check and not only did he not, but had warrants. He had lied about his whole life(this was in the 90s when social media was just starting up), and imagine my shock when I was arrested too, for violating Georgia state law, allowing an unlicensed driver to operate my vehicle. I was 18 years old fresh out of high school and my biggest crime ever had been chewing gum in class. Was strip searched, given a jumper that was way to small and tossed on a cell. Cost me 300 to get me and my car that was impounded out of jail, that was a good bit back then and took my family a couple days to get up. All my charges were dropped at court when I was able to talk to the judge, thankfully but still it sucked. The second time is a long ass story so I'll spare you, just know being locked up in the county jail can happen to anyone. Wrong cop having a bad day and that's that.

You can land in jail for yelling at the most annoying neighbor on the face of the earth. I have to stay in back bedrooms. She’s total stalker. This is a process trying to ignore her. 30 calls to cops. She’s fixated on me and it’s super annoying. Flipped her off? Jail.

Jail reform is needed. Just because a person lands in jail doesn’t mean they aren’t entitled to basic human decency. Bra, underwear, socks, a couple uniforms. And the food should be equivalent to middle school cafeteria food. Which isn’t great, but it seems better than what jails are served. The problem with Jails is that some people are there waiting to go before a judge, so that haven’t even been found guilty yet.
@AverageConsumer-uj8sm9 ай бұрын
I feel like there should be reasons for things getting banned. Ex. I understand chewing gum being banned (because in some jails it could pose a security risk), but don't understand makeup as a concept being banned (as demonstrated in one of her shorts).

This type of thing infurates me to no end. People want to complain that its so "expensive" to house inmate or "so much of their tax dollars" are going toward inmates yet they dont even provide them with basic necessities. Yes some of the people in prison may have done horrible things but they are still human beings. And the fact that they have to pay for things like underwear or soap just makes me mad. We need to get rid of the private prison systems!
@beckyshell46494 ай бұрын
I agree ,the inmates shouldn’t be living the high life and many items can cause problems with security but the very basics should be provided. Often there is a very thin line between the inmates and the officers in terms of following the law and morality. Prison can be hell for less violent offenders and guards trying to do the right thing. If a crooked guard has it out for you whether you are an inmate or officer you are in trouble.

Hi Tina, I just wanted to reach out and thank you for making this content. I don’t have the same “addiction” story as you, but it is still a problem. I am recovering from financial trauma, and I guess that’s a thing… I went through a seriously difficult time in my life where after BK7 (Bankruptcy Chapter 7), I just… gave up. I would spend ALL my money on alcohol, and partying. I lost my car, again, moved out, walked to work, bought another car, spent money I shouldn’t have, kept drinking… the list goes on. It got so bad where I just… wanted to just keep drinking because that was what I could control… Your videos really help me, and remind me that I am in recovery. Now, I only drink at restaurants, occasionally at gatherings, and I do not bring alcohol home. On occasion I do, but I don’t guzzle it like water anymore. I look at it and think “What?? What would I do that. That wasn’t fun. What was I thinking” or “hmm, I’ll make one drink I found on Tipsy Bartender! That looks good! Tomorrow I’ll try a different one… maybe I should become a Mixologist!” Thank you for your content, Tina! ❤❤ #WeDoRecover❤️🩹

Talking about ways to end up in jail, at our county lockup if you go to visit anyone you must bring ID, they run your ID to see if you have any warrants and if you do they arrest you in the waiting room right then and there. Every time I’ve gone several people get arrested this way. Don’t bring a false ID, they’ll arrest you for that too, and if you use an expired license they’ll at the least turn you away, but also will take you down to “investigate” why you have one and it’s not illegal to own one, but will essentially waste your whole day. Bottom line, if you care about an inmate they assume you are a criminal too.

Genuine question in terms of taking stuff with you after leaving jail....since it's so hard to get back onto your feet after jail, especially if you don't have family or friends that can help support you, wouldn't having some of those items from the commissary be better than nothing? Like, I can see leaving some stuff, but I always thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to keep a few things on you (like maybe some snacks and hygiene items) to help you get through those first few days.
