Smallrig also does a bottom cold shoe extension. This positions the mic well away from the screen. I use it and very happy with it.

What camera would you recommend for backpacking.. Some shots of landscape, but also campsites, water etc.. That can take some video as well! Any thoughts? Looking to be in that 800-1200 range

Nice review. It's an underrated camera. The compact efm 22mm lens is awesome. My biggest gripe is not having a built in evf, swap the flash for an evf and it would be 👌👌👌👌

there are tripod heads with hotshoe on them, that would've been a better idea instead of investing in a new microphone. Anyways, liked the review, as well as you I have an M50 and i want to upgrade to M6 MII. What i like is that they're in the same ecosystem so i can use my sigma lenses on both cameras

True! But I wanted a smaller system for vlogging as well! :) yes me too! I'm glad I didn't have to switch to a completely new lens system!

Want to get the silver version but it was way too expensive? Here in Asia all colours are in the same price, black or silver

So i'm picking one of these up (used) on Friday. I read you can only record 4K for 30 mins at a time. but you said 2 hours... can it record for longer than 30 mins at one time? If so, how?
@ConnorWells10 ай бұрын
Around 2 hours on the battery! It can record for upto 30mins before you have to hit record again

Greetings! Great and informative video. I have a question and I would be grateful if you helped me. I am an aspiring filmmaker that would like to buy a new camera. I am thinking of a smartphone or a dedicated camera. What camera do you recommend for me to buy? Should I buy a used one maybe? My budget is less than a thousand dollars. I want my films to me cinematic looking so keep that in mind. If you would help me i would be very grateful! Thank You!

Thanks for the video ….I bought my for Christmas and I thought I was going to get blown away with the photos but when I went review them on the computer my pictures were soft not clear like I was expecting…. Change settings and change lenses and I was still getting pictures too soft…. What lens do you use because the kit one didn’t do its job my 60d took better pictures…. Help if you can before I return it…..
@ConnorWells2 жыл бұрын
So the kit lens wont do the 32mp sensor justice! invest in a prime lens or adapt some EF glass i get sharp images that way, do you shoot RAW? www.connorwells.com Check out my website all the images taken on there are on the M6 mark ii :)
@edwardtorres69412 жыл бұрын
@@ConnorWells I used my EF 50 mil and also I used an Sigma 85 and what I notice the 85 did justice but my 50 I was disappointed cause it was the same as kit lens……but for me to carry that 85 will not work for everything…question. What lens did you used for the pictures…

Hmmm did you have servo focus on? I use mainly the ef 50mm f1.2 and canon 24-105 f2.8 :)

I have a nikon d5600 which ain't good for videos. My last trip was shot with GoPro 7 Black... That too has limitations. I want to have a camera that's good for my travel videos and also that can shoot some good pics. I am totally confused on what to go for. Have booked rode go ii for audio.. now confused about camera ... m6 ii/m50 ii/..Or any other option.. that's less dan 1000$... Do guide on
@ConnorWells3 жыл бұрын
Hmm, I had for Nikon D5600 as well and no it wasn’t very good for videos! The go pro hero seven black is a very good option as well! If I was to recommend one camera is less than $1000 it probably would be the Canon M50 mark ii, but if you are looking to film your videos in 4K I would recommend the Canon M6 mark ii

Great video, I'm a bit stumped as to get this or the Zv1 for some documentary film making. I want a low budget camera that shoots good 4k but with shortage on lenses I'm siding towards the zv1 for that f1.8 do you think the m6 ii would be worth the extra money with a good 50mm f1.8 lens?
