What You NEED to Know BEFORE You Get Frost Resist Gear for Naxxramas in WoW Classic

The Sapphiron fight in Naxxramas calls for frost resist and in this video we go over everything you need to know about how to prepare.

The second to last boss of naxxramas is sapphiron and he will require you to have frost resistance because of his Frost Aura which does 600 frost damage every two seconds for the entire fight, and the ability is partially resistible, so frost resistance gear will help prevent this damage.
Sapphiron also casts Blizzard which is a huge aoe ability that does 3000-4000 damage every two seconds that you stand in it and will drift around in random locations and slow players. It’s really strong so you won’t want to get caught in it, but if you do get hit by it, you can increase your chances of living with the right amount of frost resistance gear and potions. But the goal here is to not get hit by this blizzard.
Sapphiron also has ice bolt. This does 2600-3400 frost damage and has a splash effect of 10 yards.
And as a bonus some of this gear can also be helpful for Kel’Thuzad’s Frostbolt volley which does 2700-3500 frost damage every 15 seconds to everyone in the room.
Because of these frost abilities you’ll want to make sure you have frost resistance gear and potions. And in this guide, I’ll walk you through your options for cloth, leather, mail, and plate.
First up we’ll talk about cloth dps and healer frost resist gear. For caster dps you’re aiming for 130-175 frost resist, and if you’re a healer 70-110 frost resist.
You don’t need to get all the gear listed, so pick and choose what works for you to hit your frost resist requirement.
In the chest slot we have a few options.
Your best bet will be glacial vest, which is a craftable item. If you want to craft it, you’ll need to be a tailor and exalted with the Argent Dawn to learn the recipe from master craftsman omarion found in the death knight wing of naxxramas.
He’s locked in a cage at the end of the first room before Instructor Razuvious.
Once you learn the recipe you’ll need 7 Frozen Runes which you can only get by collecting an item called Word of Thawing, which is used on a frozen rune to melt it free, allowing you to collect it. These word of thawing drop of trash all throughout naxxramas.
You’ll also need 8 bolts of runecloth, 6 essence of water, and 8 ironweb spider silk.
Alternatively, you could also buy the vest outright if it’s on the auction house or however else you want to go about (craigslist) getting it because it is bind on equip.
If you’re not a tailor and you talk to Omarion he will give you quests to get your set, but it will cost you an extra 2 to 300 extra gold on top of the materials listed previously to complete the quest.

Here is an option for belt for Mail/plate wearers. Its Chillsteel Girdle classic.wowhead.com/item=11783/chillsteel-girdle drops in BRD, the guy that drops it is NOT a rare, he is easily soloable if you use some invis potions to get to him.

You're saying up to 240 frost resist. 240 + 60 from a totem/aura is 300, which is NOT the cap just FYI. 315 is the cap against a level 63 mob AKA a boss. So I think you mean to say up to 255.
