WOW Classic - Warrior DPS Frost Resistance Guide for Sapphiron Naxxramas

This video is a guide for DPS Warriors in WOW Classic - I will show you two different Warrior Frost Resistance sets, the cheap version and the expensive yet best one!
In this guide I will also walk you through the stat differences, gold difference & tell you why you might need frost resistance for Sapphiron in Naxxramas!

For gloves: Banshee's touch is the same FR and drops from the same boss the bracers do, plus they are plate.

I know it seems far fetched but Band of Icy Depths is another option as it is part of the The Sceptor of the Shifting Sands quest chain. I personally am doing it myself for fun and will be looking to get that ring for future FR gear to supplement the additional ring available from Naxxaramas. Helps to add another dps gear on another slot. Thank you for this btw. I was looking at prep for phase 6 because I don't want to worry about it in the next few months before naxx comes out.

Hey Damnboi, Since I was required to bid on t2 tank pieces during BWL, I'm still missing items like Maladath, DFT, Crul'shorukh on my Tank warrior. How should I prioritize aquiring those drops compared to what Ahn'Qiraj drops (For example gauntlets of Annihilation or AQR)

So If i understand correctly, for the epic crafted pieces you need frozen runes, and you get those runes from farming Naxx itself. So regardless of price, when you're talking about the cheap set are you more meaning the pieces we should be focused on obtaining right now which we will be able to have in our inventories when we zone into the instance on release day? Or is there a way to get the runes prior to actually clearing the instance? If not, I'd think the decent auction house BOE's are about to go through the roof here in the next few months just like AQ with guilds looking to clear the first or second day.

Hey mate. What are your thoughts on Magic Resist potion (50 res) vs. Greater Frost Prot pots? For alliance, it gives +30FR, since it doesn't not stack with the 20FR from GotW. Is 3m duration with 30FR worth the trade-off on absorption loss from a GFPP?

Well - i'd prepop a GFFP and use them during the fight. If no pala aura id use +50 res as you start the fight and you can use chromatic resistance (+25) on top of that.

Hi Damnboi. Thanks for the vid! Can you explain why you chose Icebane Leggings over Icy Scale? They're very close (10str vs. 15agi). The mail ones also have 3 more stamina. Thanks for any info. :)

Good question - str is our main stat hence why I chose that over agi. But this is merely a guideline not a set you HAVE to get :)

You can use Ice Guard on Legs as well. Also there's a 20 frost res robe in Stratholme.

Doubt you'll need that much fr since saph was nurfed to only tick every 2 seconds now :) but yes you can indeed.

Can I add that for Warriors we can make Radiant from BS chest, gloves and legs instead of Frostsaber from LW. A lot cheaper to make and gives same FR/SR. Unless Thorium bars are more expensive in your server. But Frostsaber Tunic requires 1 Cured Rugged Hide and Radiant Chest doesnt

My Boi! Damnboi! How would you compare Icy Scale vs Icebane? Mail vs Plate, I know you lose raw AP but get more Frost Res and some STR on those Icebane pieces. Do you think that could clear up one more spot for a DPS item thus giving you a bit more of an advantage? I know its a fine balance between DPS and surviving, but what kind of loss in AP would you take for a bit more survivability (or is it all for the parses and we should focus on AP?) Also don't forget about master Dwarf races in P6 with their +10 to Frost Resist! woot (will allow me to allocate piece around my edgies to still hit a good Frost Resist). Also thank you for your videos, I love the knowledge.

Well - I have to guides on both sets - one for tank one for dps. Icy scale = more ap more crit for a little less FR and hp. I dont think more than 150-200 FR is needed for saph tbh - its prolly gonna be like a firemaw fight just more intense. Armor doesnt really matter as a dps. As for the frost resist enchant I actually dont remember if its out or not. Been a while since I made the vid :) Apprecaite it mate - thanks!

As Damnboi said, although there is a quest for the mail FR gear, the patterns are also purchasable from Argent Dawn quartermaster at Exalted rep. Even better, the patterns are cheaper in mats than the quest AND don't require 200+ gold! So you end up saving a *lot* of money getting them crafted instead of doing the quests.

DamnboiTV I played Vanilla WoW in 2003 beta, and was a GM in 2005. I’ve since never stopped playing Vanilla, especially on private servers. No Mage could kill me. 6kHP. Absolutely none. I had frost resist and some fire for a elemental resist. And I had Naxx weapons and other gear. I ran 6 PvP sets. I’m hardcore. But quit WoW and haven’t played classic. So if Classic is anything like vanilla, resist is *godly*.
