Agree, many people don't realize, diet is the most important part whether you're a body builder, cross fit, athlete etc. You can lift all day, but if you're not getting your necessary nutrition and eating healthy you won't reach your potential or you might not see much gains compared to others. This is why I wish more fitness KZbinrs had more in-depth on their diet.

He's spot on. Being ''on a diet'' implies at some point you will be ''off a diet''. Instead, you need to think of it as cleaning up your eating habits so you can make it a permanent lifestyle, one which you can also enjoy too. That's the only way you can sustain it long term and remain consistent. These restrictive diets that eliminate entire macros or food groups altogether aren't sustainable long term for the average person.

Liked the video and the idea with the rice cake. As for suger attacks - I would definitely consider premium dates instead of candies or cookies as they fully serve your sugar needs and are healty at the same time. Dates are a good source of natural vitamins, minerals, energy, sugar, and fiber. It also contains calcium, iron, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium and zinc ;)

This is the approach many people should take when they are starting out. Many people think they can just go straight into a strict diet. But if instead you start out broad. Get down the basics and avoid general food groups and only eat others. It will be much easier for you long term. Just making small tweaks here and there.

A Twinkie for breakfast, bacon strips for lunch and a gallon of Ben & Jerry's mixed with Pop tarts can really have a serious effect when you only exercise the jaw bone and lift your cheeks when it all comes running out the back slot in a heap!!!
