I did a few weeks ago when my gf thought it was weird my loading screen had an orange seaplane saying "Shouldn't it be green?". We then checked her loading screen and it was green, then we noticed the planes actually matched and so did the airports.

M L this is the first time i heard about features like this for an animal crossing game. this whole “social” part of animal crossing is really new and i hope they do something to fix it. the older ones you could just play on your own and you could access everything. it sort of ruins the experience if you’re not into online play, and tbh this looks like another case of nintendo wanting you to play exactly the way they want you to with no negotiations or even considering that some people aren’t going to use the online features.

Jess idk, i still have a problem with that because in that case, you aren’t getting the full experience in any of your playthroughs if you don’t have an internet connection. add to that the fact that there are tons of furniture pieces missing from new leaf and you get one of the most boring catalogues in any animal crossing game up to date.

Wow, I never realized just how lucky I got with my setup! With a Yellow airport I get a black vending machine, then I got the set that has the black soda machine AND the set with the black telephone box! The fact that all of these things match so well is a huge surprise considering all of the possible combinations!

That's just how animal crossing works. It adds some uniqueness to every game and makes loading up a new game exciting. Same way you can't choose your villagers. If they wanted it to be like every other game out there where you can customize every aspect of it and choose the best things to start with then they would have made it that way.

What really sucks about this is, yeah, sure, you can trade these items with people, but if you need a ton of a particular one like say streetlamps (my personal problem), it's an utter pain to get someone to spend the Nook Miles to give them to you. Maybe it'd be less of a pain if I could determine exactly how many I need, but like...why can't the alternates just be added to your catalogue & be orderable the same way regular items are? Even if I still had to pay Nook Miles for the alts, at least then you'd only have to get ONE from somebody else!

They got rid of him as the save character not because of autosave but because he scared children. They used to have a warning about how he scares children on the old games. He used to make kids cry. I personally liked him 🤷 Pocket Camp uses him when they do updates and you can't access the app

This is really useful to search for certain colors of the nook miles items, I actually hate the coloring of my items but I think I have your favorite airport, the orange one? 😂 Im wayy to deep into my save file at this point to want to restart tho. I've got the yellow airport, and while I'm not super fond of the miles items, I love that its one of the DAL colors, it fits well. I'd also heard that the airport color is determined by the question that Timmy and Tommy ask at the beginning, but never heard one way or another if that was confirmed true or false.

I think that would be a really cool secret thrown in by Nintendo, because in previous games the questions you were asked determined the outlook of your character for the whole game, so to still incorporate that theme makes me happy cause I thought it was gone for good with character customization. It's back, just with nook miles instead 😁

Yep. Green airport with those combos. My other combos are the one with the pink cotton candy maker & blue & white lighthouse, brown phonebooth, yellow springy horse. I'd probably keep my lighthouse combo. I'd want all the pink & blue stuff. 💜

It also changes the colours of the tools you can buy at Nook's Cranny when it is fully upgraded. I went to another island to buy some candies for Halloween the other day and noticed their "outdoorsy shovel" was pink instead of blue and I was like mindblown lmao

After watching this video, I've realized every single variable when it comes to these colors just happened to work out for me. Everything I currently have in my Nook Miles shop happens to be among my favorites out of what I've seen in this video. Plus I like how the airport looks in green. :) Makes me feel even better about my island, considering I also got lucky with a starting layout I like, peaches as the native fruit, and two starter villagers I like. Just a whole bunch of luck that worked in my favor without me even knowing. o3o

I was pretty lucky in a sense that I got orange airport (I don’t mind orange and love the white streetlamps) and my other combinations items are all the blue and yellow sets. They all fit together quite well. I wish I would have a different color light house though.

Saw a few comments from people upset that they keep getting duplicate diys. Just make sure you craft every diy you have and it will unlock new diys. It took me a few months to realise I wasn’t;t getting any of the cool diys I saw in yt videos because I wasn’t crafting half the ones I had. Once I crafted everything I could, I quickly got loads of new diys. Just keep crafting the diys you have and sell the items to nooks cranny if you don’t want them.

Oh and for my plaza theme I got classic which looks nice, but I went to see Cyrus and changed it to cool, because I just love those colors the most, I also changed the color of several other items like my Godzilla monster from brown to red

Thanks for this info! Glad you popped up in my recommended. My son points out the different airport colors every time we fly between islands and now I can put that info to use and also more easily hunt down other item vatiations knowing what groups friends should have! I also never knew there was a zebra spring ride on. Great, another weird thing I need to track down. Lol. Thanks for the clear and succinct delivery of helpful info! (And for the links.
