I used to watch movies a lot but ever since I got into anime I kinda stayed in anime. because it combines some of these janras perfectly. for example I'm a scifi lover but also love some action and a hint of drama. Uchuu senkan yamato combines these and adds some history sprinkles :) But I always have a place for classics like aliens or terminator .

What would be more interesting to me would be the kind of person who is heavy on sci-fi and fantasy, likes some adventure, dabbles in some horror, yet also finds time to keep up regularly on hysterically funny movies. I like it when a movie doesn't have plot armor and some good characters die. It makes me feel like shit but I'm tired of seeing characters miraculously survive a terrible injury because of plot armor. I want to see them struggle to beat the antagonist, not just beat them up easily despite being worlds apart in terms of power.

Like, no, some friendship magic or whatever ain't making you the most powerful on the world and defeat your enemy I would love to see the protagonist fail extremely, but not bc of some dumb move (that makes me furious), but they had a really smart plan, making the other characters and the viewers think they'll win, and in the last second they'll fail, i swear, it would be AMAZING And even better, if some of their friends etc got extremely mad at them and blamed the protagonist for what happened

im extremely introverted & very anxious person, i love romance, comedy, & action movies like marvel! i feel like most of the people in the comments love horror movies but i prefer movies that dont give me anxiety. i also like watching movies over again cause it doesn’t stress me out on whats gonna happen (im not a big fan of surprises) same goes for tv shows

I'm open-minded to multiple movie genres (I like at least one movie from all of the mentioned genres!), but my heart is always going to be with musicals and dance-type movies, particularly Golden Age and animated ones.

I love shows like Stranger things, Manifest, Jim Carrey movies, the Matrix trilogy, and also romance. I also love drama, but more on the "this is the end moral" of this movie.
