Even as an altcoin minimalist I do see the potential of NFT’s. Obviously I think they should reside on the Bitcoin ledger, but you should at least look into it and understand it. It is one of the few use cases besides hard money for Bitcoin imho.

There have been bear markets, creating 'cycles' because a lot of people have been selling over a prolonged period. The past does not predict the future when the game and its participants change. I don't think there will be too many people selling for very long, from now.

it's not true that there is no other way to solve that sequencing problem. blockchains are not needed if you give up any of the following: fair and even distribution of coinbase, trustless and permissionless, byzantine fault tolerant. directed acyclic graphs are perfectly capable of ordering events in a distributed system. it's just all distributed dags without special validators are trivial to sibyl.

They clearly hate altcoins lol. But I'm against this whole shitcoin concept. He sounds so cavalier saying it too, as if he's so obviously right. So ethereum has no value at all? I get the sentiment behind trying to pick low cap altcoins as stupid but there's a lot of large cap coins that clearly have some value. The fact he doesn't recognize there are different use cases makes me not really trust his opinion much. He clearly has tunnel vision. And this is coming from someone who actually loves BTC. Bitcoin is the best money. But it may not be the best smart contract platform. So comparing the two seems intellectually lazy at best and disingenuous at worst. Like comparing PayPal and TikTok just cause they're both tech companies.
