Likewise, NPCs that are oblivious to what's going on. Skyrim: Riverdale. The blacksmith get destroyed by a dragon. The wife and son five seconds later: "If you want to upgrade your equipment, you should see my husband!" *The dad all mangled* "Oh, I see him alright."

In "Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows", you can beat the doppelganger phase of the final boss by standing still and doing nothing.
@Eddiember
@Eddiember Жыл бұрын
I said this on the previous video. The optional boss, Famed Mimic Gogo, from Final Fantasy 5. He says he will mimic everything you do. An attack for an attack, a spell for a spell. An Item for an item. He encourages you to mimic him as well. The brillience of this fight is that you have a time limit ticking down, so you would think you need to complete this fight as fast as possible. However, do this, you will eventually be obliterated by Gogo who tells you you learned nothing. Instead, you have to mimic him... but, he's not doing anything. So as that timer is counting down you wait for him to do something, anything for you to mimic. Eventually Gogo says you have mastered the form of mimicking others by mimicking him doing nothing, doing nothing. You win the fight and are awarded the Mimic Job Class.

parent of a 7 and 10yr old. I remember the toddler years for both kids. Have you ever wondered what it would look like to take an entire pack of, say, Oreos and toss them in a blender with the lid off? Wonder no more if you have a toddler, just give them a couple handfuls of Oreos. By the time the sugar truly kicks in they may be able to vibrate straight through solid objects.

I mean, to be fair, the notion of listening and not interjecting when someone is working through their emotions can be legitimately be beneficial in real life too. Even in counselling, a lot of it is helping the client open up and talk about their problems in order for them to work out their issues and take steps to resolve them rather than councillors proposing solutions.

For the Warrior Land 2 example, it's not so much a "brand new game" as it is a secret branching path. The game has several different endings because there are key stages where there are two (maybe 3 once or twice, I'm not sure) ways to finish the level. Part of the fun of the game was that when you do level replays you can see what levels the branching paths are on, but not where in the level or how the branch occurs. Sleeping through the alarms was one of those branching path scenarios, and results in one of the shorter game paths I believe. Also, don't think I didn't notice that "Tau" sign in the corner.
@Seth22087
@Seth22087 Жыл бұрын
Also Warioland 2, if you decide to sleep over that alarm you get the shortest way to final boss. I think it is just 4 levels beside first one and boss level and you are at credits, which also unlocks level select map and shows you all branching paths you could take. Back in the day way much younger me was bit mindblown to see how you had multiple levels that had two branching paths out. Also the first one, don't wake up one, took me longest to figure out because I searched that level hell of a lot before triggering it by mistake when mother called me and distracted me from GameBoy for long enough. It never occurred to me that sleeping is an option. And it was my first Warioland I played through, because Warioland 1 I got from friend had dead save battery... which is also what happened eventually with my first Pokemon game, Yellow... That sucked a ton too. And yeah, silence is nice tool to create bit of awkward moment for the other side and try to get them to play their hand, since it is kind of hotwired inside our brain to danger, due to our ancestors having to survive the wild and silence was never a good sign. It kind of was cool thing that work thought us, even if not for best purposes... nevertheless, one should waste not, when one gets opportunity to get educated. Though don't get too good at it, otherwise you might end up educating people because you get better at knowing stuff than people who do educating internally in company... maybe I should have practiced more of that silence... also life was simpler when I was told to just shut up when telling people on how to do their job and wasn't the one who ended up being right and knowing better than them, because I want stuff to get done and don't like incompetence. Maybe I need a new job.... :-D
