Can you imagine how awesome a trilogy could have been made for episodes 7-9 if they were done by someone who actually cared about Star Wars. It breaks my heart just thinking about the missed opportunities and the way Disney portrayed Luke..

Since I didn't first watch Star Wars as a 8 years old, I have never been found of Luke's Marysueish persona. So I loved that in ep 8 at last he was portrayed as a real character, and not just a bland self-insert. Rian Johnson cares a lot about Star Wars, and it shows.
@sdaniels7114
@sdaniels7114 5 ай бұрын
@@Montbiveau Its not fair to call him a Mary Sue. Vader slapped him around on Bespin and the Emperor would have killed him if Vader hadn't intervened in ROTJ. Compare that to Rey, who won her very first lightsaber fight with no training at all. Luke didn't have anything resembling absolute power. What he had was absolute faith in his friends and family until Rian Johnson came along.
@Montbiveau
@Montbiveau 5 ай бұрын
@@sdaniels7114 In the second lightsaber fight of his life and with no prior duel training, Luke curbstomps Vader, one of the most adept of an order of fighters who trained daily from infancy. Even the younglings were more trained than him, and more qualified to manage that feat. Rey's achievements don't even come close, and she also gets her ass handed to her on regular basis. Plus she is shown as having prior experience in melee from having grown on a crapsack world, which is no more ridiculous than Luke becoming an instant ace pilot thanks to his experience at agricultural vehicles and shooting rats. And TFA isn't even subtle about showing how Chewbacca's bowcaster shot is mostly responsible for Ren being put down, you even get foreshadowing with Han trying it out with devastating effect on an armored opponent. And finally, Ren isn't Vader, he isn't the final boss of the story, far from it. He is a miror antagonist, talented but still learning in parallel to the protagonists, kind of like Zuko in the first season of the last Airbender. Being (barely) defeated somewhat early doesn't betray the function of the character. I like grumpy old Luke, first time he was interesting in my eyes, and not just some bland author insert. Nobody ever complained that 800 years old Yoda got bitter and hid in a swamp in the last years of his life after having failed and lost everything.

The challenge I see with the Ahsoka theory is she would have been faced with a Luke filled with fear and confusion after learning who his father was, and we saw how she responded to the idea of her training Grogu later. Ilum is not Yoda's home planet.... Ahsoka training Luke is something I have pondered for a long time myself. Once I watched her leave the Jedi in Clone wars I wondered it and with her return in not only Mando but how well she improved from her leaving the Jedi to her appearance in Season 7 of Clone Wars it is not to hard to see just how powerful she is and will become not as a Jedi, not as a Sith but maybe just maybe as a return of the true Je'daii in time. Her training Luke would go a long way in filling in things for both of them.

This is probably more than just a fan theory, but Jannah as Lando's daughter is supported by the books. In Adam Christopher's book Star Wars: Shadows of the Sith, Lando's young daughter was kidnapped, and Jannah was introduced in Rise of Skywalker as a former Stormtrooper who deserted the First Order. The novelization of Rise of Skywalker all but confirms that Lando is her father.

@@SchultzDorinda There was no rule for Jedi to have, sex, with each other. The rule simply stated they couldn't form attachments. However, Jedi did and were having fun with each other. This is one I was going to address to the video here but shall here instead. Had Anakin simply came out and admitted he had a wife with children, it seems like that Yoda and some of the Masters wouldn't have exiled him. In fact, they likely done everything to protect Padme, because they would have known that she was carrying some future powerful Jedi. And because there is no rule again Anakin having sexual with another, only attachments emotionally, and because lore states the ancient Jedi did indeed have families, they would have made an exception here, because they would see it as a: "Bring Balance to the Force." The Jedi were bad at many actions, sending children into exile wasnt one of them. They had no say in their being borne and Jedi would have understood this. Also, Padme was a Senator and had background knowledge of how to deal with a Senate, and liked the Jedi and helped them before, they werent going to throw away an Allie.

The force creating grogu as a counter to anakin doesn't make sense, as after the empire fell grogu was still not able to actually use the force and was still a child. Why would the force pick someone who wouldn't be ready to deal with darth vader until decades after the fall of anakin? This would also go against any other reactions from the force, anakin being a reaction to palpatine (and the jedi's corruption), rey being a reaction to kylo and in legends you have bastila and revan and the hero of tython and the sith emperor. Grogu being a reaction of the force doesn't make any sense. Maybe yoda, as a failed reaction to the rule of two, with him reaching his prime when the sith's plan reaches its endgame, only to instead lead the jedi into a weaker order that is to closely tied to the corrupt senete rather than the people and the force, but grogu makes no sense unless it is in response to something that cones after the sequels (which wouldn't be the sith cause they're gone for good and rey should rebuild the jedi order as it was before the clone wars era, so the likelihood of a dark jedi is rarer), so the threat is unlikely to be force based.

Finn's reaction to war and having to kill is most likely the truest reaction in those movies. He likely considered war great before he was in one and then...omg people die for real? We have many cases of Soldiers from WWI and WWII who reacted same. After experiencing they learn to deal with it and were fine, but not all. many attempted to do what Finn did. So, based on this, I saw Finn has the most real personality in these movies. Canon and Lore wise, we have an understanding of how Luke was trained. Now granted, Disney could change that in a second. So far though, She had no part in Lukes training in person wise. However, Luke did have texts and data from her era and she likely did write stuff and left records. Her opinions, her thoughts, and her fears would be a part of that and he may have had that. So, I will give that she may have had an indirect help in his training. But not a direct one.

Another I shall reply: Lucas stated once that Yoda species are rare and a mystery. He wished to keep it that way. However, we do get some hints here. There are not many of his people around, and those that are known, were very old. From this can guess his species. They are nearly extinct, from what we hear in the Mandalorian, about "baby" Yoda:( Yes, I said it, sue me) This suggest he may even be the last of that species. Since, we have hints they are an ancient species, we assume their planet is also ancient. And best of all, we have an idea what environment Yoda was used to experiencing. I doubt he came from a freesing planet; he is short and smallish built. Meaning he likely evolved form a species that was used to hiding. A frosen world tends to make creatures larger not smaller. Earth last great ice age is an example. So where would he need to be to be tiny and smallish in built and we have it, the world he exiled too. Tropical and swamps. Perfect for smaller creatures survived in. So, it is likely his world was tropical and warm, not cold. However, there is also another possibility, because he is short, he could come from a planet with less oxygen. The reason animals got so large on Earth was it had much more oxygen at that period-this wasnt a good thing, mind you. However, he is short so we have to assume a few factors, he was on a world, without a lot oxygen to get bigger, he also was on a world less wet, but much warmer (This would explain why he could handle the cold in the video, his body would been from world much warmer and had developed the ability to hand harsh environments). At the end of all, I can say: He came from a dying planet, it was likely once tropical and wet, but by time of Yoda was very warm and dry, a desert planet. And his species was likely just hanging on, surviving as best they could. Since Yoda is ancient in age, it is possible that the rest of his species were gone, with an exception, that allowed them access to rest of Galaxy. "Baby" Yoda may very well be correct, it could very well be his child. The last of them all.

If Ashoka trained Luke, why did she refuse to train Grogu?

Vader saving Luke is a good theory. Because what if vader knew palpatine had the ability to project his consciousness?. He knew if palpatine took Luke's body the universe would be at stake, not just the galaxy. For context, in the vader comics we see palpatine show vader Exegol, snoke clones, etc. So what if vader thought that while palpatine was distracted and using force lightning, he wouldn't have the energy to project his consciousness, thus being the best time to strike down palpatine. (like George probably had planned if he accepts the projection of consciousness part) Food for thought

A lot of these are debunked by canon lore already. Specifically anikins dad. It never directly says it, but Darth Plagieus is Anikins father. Read up on it because Anikin is basically Jesus to Plagieus being “god like” in a sense.

Ugh. The Darth Jar Jar theory is stupid, ridiculous, and in no way makes any sense. What makes sense is what we see in canon, a naive character out of his depth being manipulated by Palpatine into giving him what he wants.

Han Solo is force sensitive and was never discovered by the jedi due to the fall of the republic. I’ve always thought this because of his skills as a pilot, but those is also a scene in the force awakens when he shoots a storm trooper without looking

Darth Jar Jar: This is just dumb and I wish it would go away. It's a meme, not as theory. C-3PO also talks with his hands. So does Han. Does that mean everyone is a Sith Lord? Yoda from Ilum: There is absolutely nothing here. Nothing. This isn't even a theory. It's just something someone said and has no evidence to support it. Finn being a child: This just doesn't make any sense. He breaks on Jakku because he realizes the First Order is terrible, not because he's a child. This is just the moment we see him question things. Ausoka training Luke: At this point, I want Ahsoka to be killed off. She is the SINGLE MOST PIVOTAL character in all of Star Wars. She's the best Jedi, the best commander, she defeated Maul, she basically formed the Rebellion... For all the bitching and moaning people do about Rey being a Mary Sue, people sure forget that Ahoska is behind or involved in just about every pivotal event. Stop it. Stop making her an integral character when she wasn't.

Killing Palpatine wouldn't have been Luke's cross to the Dark Side: Just attempting to, was. Luke DID cross to the Dark Side, which is what gave him the power to defeat Vader. However, Luke was able to CONTROL the Dark Side; THAT is why he, and not Anakin, is the Chosen One. Luke brought balance to the Force, by being able to use both aspects, without losing himself in the process.

Um, considering the fact that Rise of Skywalker had Reylo share a passionate kiss before Ben Solo’s death, I hope Palpatine isn’t Anakin’s father. Then again, Leia smashed a passionate kiss onto Luke even though she admitted in Return of the Jedi that she had always known he was her brother.
@YavorM-Yash
@YavorM-Yash Жыл бұрын
Leia wasn't saying for sure that she knew Luke was her brother. She said that "somehow" she knew about it, but her face expression was of someone just realised what it was and until that moment wasn't sure about the feelings she had. About that kiss - she kissed Luke only to tease Han. And that's the only reason. Luke was the only other male in the room. I am really tired of people putting other meaning to it.

It would make alot of sense if Ahsoka trained luke as *despite* what is shown in the live action. Ahsoka as shown in the animated series is not the dumb jedi shown in the mandalorian. She knows that attachment isn't a problem and would also encourage luke to see the good in Anakin. She had did the same and would note that while she cannot save his father, Luke can. Ahsoka's not only powerful and skilled, but also has learned from the mistakes of the jedi. (A fact the live action stuff seems to ignore entirely and has her act out of character. Fuck no attachments, Ahsoka would likely say that it was the rejection of attachment that lead to her master's downfall.)

See, I don't see Ahsoka training look at all. The interaction they had on screen made it seem like that was the first or MAYBE the second time they had met. Plus, Ahsoka had no want to train Grogu and didn't even consider herself a Jedi in the first place. So why would she train someone in the ways of the Jedi if she still didn't believe in it? Also, my GOD is the the Darth Jar Jar theory just stupid. It REALLY needs to go away. Jar Jar was just an annoying character made to sell toys.

Palpatine raped the Force, that's what put it out of balance. When the offspring of that rape, chose to destroy the rapist and allow himself (the product of that rape) to die, balance was restored.
