I am soon to get a small job but there’s no way I’m gonna be able to get myself to America and a place like this in less than a year. Me and my friend are going to be working at a summer camp in America for the summer of 2022. The moment you said we're thrown into the river on the 4th of July because we're british made me laugh! We're always told it will be one of the hardest jobs we will ever have but I can't wait to make memories, make new friends and getting to know the campers over the 9 weeks! I know i'm going to cry leaving my family in britain for 11 weeks but I think I will cry just as much leaving my campers and the family I made on my journey. Even if it is the hardest job I'll have in my entire life it'll be worth it! I think this will be one of my best summers and the best experience of my life and I am so glad I am going. And even if it is a really hard 9 weeks me and my friend are going to hawaii for 2 weeks after camp! I can't wait to have this experience, make memoires, have a second family and take some amazing photos! I've had many fears over my upcoming job/trip but after seeing this.. it has put my heart and mind at ease!

I was a councilor at Brookwood Camps in NY state in summer 2017. Hardest yet best summer of my life. I miss my kids and fellow councilors dearly, but made memories that will last a lifetime :D
