I was that blk woman dating a wyt guy who didn't tell his family before I showed up...he put me in a SERIOUSLY dangerous situation with a bunch of racists. After that guy any time I dated a guy who wasn't blk the first thing I ask before I meet their friends and family is "Do they know I'm blk?" Because I refuse to be put in a situation where I could lose my life, again...

There are more good people than not out there. It's easy to forget that when we see terrible stories or experience our own tragedies. So, it's important not to let those bad people make us stereotype and fear others by claiming them to be guilty by association. We all need reminders now and then.

This show always gets to me emotionally. So many people will surprise you by speaking up when an injustice is seen or heard. And afterwards when they interview some of them, they are so emotional themselves because it upset them so much to see people being treated badly. Even though it's a TV show, it represents real life. Thank God for the goodness in this world!

What that young mom at the end said is very nice. People should have the courage to express their opinions in a respectful way when they see something is going wrong with someone. Most of us do not do that and leave people alone to respect their privacy. Maybe someone hear something now from you and then start to think more clearly and arrive to the same conclusion in the same moment or even a year later. It is a healthy interaction between people in a society I believe.

Not exactly true. It is your parents business who you date if they are bad people. The character of the person you are with matters to your parents. If you don't think so, then don't whine and complain if they cut you off. Since after all yo only care about your own opinion, so you can live alone in isolation then with your partner.
