Andrew! You changed my life! Herniated T12 with debilitating pain and complete inability to think/talk/do anything else. At my worst I l’d been in PT for 9 months; couldn’t stand for more than 20 minutes and I was in my 20’s! Thanks to you I’ve squatted 515, deadlifted 500, deployed, driven half way across the country, run many miles and can pick up and carry my son! Zero pain. I couldn’t possibly muster the words to tell you how much I appreciate all that you’ve done for my family and I. Bless you. Bless your vision, goals, and journey.

I remember seeing Andrew on the move u page on instagram. They were the first mobility/pain treatment content I was put on to. I don’t know about the current relationship with that brand but I credit them for the motivation.

Andrew cofounded that company, created the product, and grew the social media. He is no longer associated in any way. His cofounder fired him and then sued him. He started Whealth with a team of his former employees. Glad you found him again- he was one of the very first in this space on social media and has helped thousands of people over the years!

Bought a lifetime membership to moveu right before Andrew left and it broke my heart. Haven't used moveu since aside from some of the principles learned from Andrew's original program.

Sorry bud. That was a wild time. We can be more open about that stuff next June. I've also evolved a ton since I made that last program 6 years ago.

Late to this party, but a fellow EDS weight lifter here. Lifting and a whole foods, collagen rich diet has been absolutely amazing for me. Having a great time listening to this :) Thanks for sharing your stories, Andrew and Katie!

Same here recovered 100% from hardcore double disc herniation l5-s1 without surgery. Complete loss of motor functions past knee, numb foot, limping for months. All that was necessary was new habits, not be domesticated, not sit on chairs, loads of movement, reclaimed the resting squat. And the rest is history.

What she said is 100% correct about hospitals, I have many relatives who work as nurses that say the same thing. I also want to add there are A LOT of nurses now that are unhealthy themselves which doesn't help. A lot of hospitals don't give two 💩s on prevention 😥😥

My feet have gotten bigger from wearing barefoot style shoes too. More wide than long for sure but a lot of my old shoes are definitely not wide enough but also my feet don’t fit length wise either. Lems has great working boots that are like vivo’s also incase people want better working boots!

45:55 - can relate. I was 22-23 when my back problems took me out for loooong. I was competing in MMA prior to that. But one morning I couldn't get up from bed and it all went downhill from there...10 years after that - I'm generally fine now, with a few exceptions. But that were some of the darkest years of my life.

Thanks for sharing this. Glad to hear you are doing well(ish) now. Are you able to practice any MMA now?

@@whealth_ To a degree - yes. I'm currently in the best spot pain and freedom of movement wise, but before coming back fully I'd luck to reach some of the strength goals I set along the way) Hoping it won't take another 10 years though... Still learning, still experimenting. I'm more aware of my issue and my body's "triggers" now. One of them is my stubborn QL, which is crucial for any combat spot.

@@hvaranhvaran Great to hear that you are able to keep yourself moving - that's the most important part. It doesn't have to take another 10 years. Check the links in our Instagram bio - there is a free lower back pain relief program there - gives you an idea of how we teach.

My wife has EDS it's a terrible disease not in anyway something that should be taken lightly. I have been trying to talk my wife into strength training for years to help her. I knew getting you muscles strong would help with hyper-mobility.
@whealth_2 жыл бұрын
It can be extremely debilitating for some folks for sure. It's a wide spectrum and people are impacted to different degrees. Strengthening is amazing- it just needs to be done in a very specific and gradual way to avoid injury. That's the most common issue with hypermobile folks. They try to strengthen and get injured over and over. A lot of attention to form, technique and posture is important for this group especially!
