You have to run this trail sometime. It’s awesome. It’s cool because there are some decent obstacles and the scenery is great. We ended up running Chinaman Gulch before this and then drove up to Wheeler Lake and camped there for a night and then came down the next day. What a great trail! I’ve only done it once but I need to do it again.

Nicely done! This trail does need a good spotter for sure. Loved it !!

@@Colorado4x4 Did a great job videotaping this run. I’m still in Kentucky and will be home on 26 July. You got me thinking about doing this one!

Damn, we were just at Montgomery Reservoir last night but didn't realize we were so close to such a great trail. Probably wouldn't have attempted it at night, but would've liked to have taken a look at it, at least. Planned on camping at Montgomery but it wasn't allowed. Sucked, because we didn't get to see any of the area in the day. Bet it was beautiful.

Black jeep doesn’t look aired down at all. That would help

Was aired down to maybe 15 pounds. Those tires back then were brand new. And they suck

Great video! Next time air down your tires, it will help drastically!

Thank you! The black JK had about 12 psi and the silver JK ran about 14 psi. Check out my Chinaman Gulch video as well. That granite is real slick with that fine dirt on it!! Slicker than I thought it would be. 🤗

no nope I always struggle with the multiple camera angles. I often think it would be better to just have one hand held camera and might go that route for the next trail.

Troy Wise: the dog has full time four wheel drive so she does good! I think ATVs would do fine. We saw a few on the trail when we were coming out but that was at the beginning. There are some easier routes to the more challenging technical sections at the bottom so you would be fine there. I’m not sure about Bowling Ball Hill, which is the final hill climb. I guess it depends on how wet and soupy it is and how much throttle you give it!!!!

It's honestly one of my favorite trails. There's enough obstacles to be challenging and the view at the lake is amazing! Thanks for watching!

Where is the trail head located?
@Colorado4x46 жыл бұрын
Michael Durden: Pick up Charles Wells book for Colorado trails. His guide books are the best in my opinion. The trailhead is by Montgomery Reservoir which is south of Breckenridge and north of FairPlay.

Once upon a time, my great grandmother owned land around that lake. There was a cabin too... some idiot burned it down about 20 years ago. Maybe you can see where it was. We used to hike up to the lake, with our equipment. Jeeps are for sissies. ;)
@Colorado4x46 жыл бұрын
greenshp: that is crazy that your great grandmother owned land up there! I agree, hiking up there is way harder!!!
