Selecting Tackle to put in my Bass Boat (April 2020)

Loading up my boat with tackle for fishing around the house over the next month or so. Bass should be starting to spawn and over the course of the next month I’ll encounter fish at all stages of the spawn so I pack up a variety of things and show you it all!

I don't have any experience fishing from a boat on a lake. Ive been seriously considering buying a bass boat and doing this. they are very expensive and it is a commitment. Find a good deal on a used aluminum bass boat with a 75-115 motor. It's lighter, more fuel efficient, and it's perfect for gaining experience in boat operation. And you'll have more money left over to rig a good quality trolling motor and a couple of nice 8 inch graphs.

She laughs when I pack my truck bed drawers like your boat! - They make ladies hair bands with a strip of rubber on em that work great on bulk spools to keep the line from going everywhere! (The bigger ones, not small rubber band size)

im all about planning for failure but im very minimalistic when it comes to what i throw so i dont have to many options cause i tend to spend time overthinking what to throw, so i keep my colors simple with plastics and then if i really need to get closer to matchig the hatch ill take my jig skirt box and make one on the fly its really reduced what i carry by having more terminal and really simplifying my fishing. its put way more fish in the boat for me.

I have 16 plastic boxes with all my tackle in all 16. My girlfriend says I have too much money tied up in lures and baits. I told her that I use to like her! She is actually very amazing so I had to tell her that a pro packs more than 30 boxes in his boat just for pre-spawn. Nice video cant wait to hit the waters in Tennessee this weekend for the first time in almost a year.

Damn, you have a whole plano box of DT4s! I just have 1 box for all my crankbaits! I could NEVER keep all that straight in my head. I'd be forgetting 3/4 of that stuff. I'm always trying to reduce my tackle. 1 to make it easier to keep track of ,and 2, to make it easier to organize. But, I do fish pretty much the same water all the time.

if i had a boat i'd definitely go with boxes for soft plastics. as a bank angler even the clamshells and individual packages get super annoying unless it's something like a swimbait then it's more acceptable to leave them in there to keep the tails straight.

Everyone Thinks i go over board cause i have my stuff If boxs much like your set up.. I do tourney's and i even have some box organized and labeled for specific Fisheries..Champlain , St. Lawrence , Fork lake , mainly Fisheries that i have specific lures i use only on those fisheries...So much easier to manage when everything has a home and not just mixed up!

Serous question. Even surfers and skaters work out now. Is physical fitness part of the fishing big leagues? Red Bull’s and fast food are OK for you younger guys but not beneficial for performance. Dows anyone work out? I feel like Scott Martin does. Lol.
