Yes, letting people tell her what to wear, how to do her hair will chip away at her confidence little by little until there is nothing left but the Skelton of what she used to be. I pray she finds people that love her and help her see the truth. I believe she’s too young and naive to understand what is happening, especially when you have not experience racism before, you won’t be able to tell right away. It really broke my heart to see her taking of her beautiful braids and putting on a wig, because that texture of hair is more acceptable.

When I watched this video my old time flashed back .. me and my husband also different Country - different religion - different culture and different language . In the beginning my husband family totally rejected our relation . They totally cut off relation with us but thank God after 2 years finally they accepted us but although they did not celebrate our wedding till now only my family made wedding celebrations. Now we together happily 26 year and we have 20 years old son .. So I like to advise you both please consider your Father. He is 💯 % right in his place . For him it's nightmare not because of your dad is bad but he grown-up and living this age with his tradition and values. For them it's really matter.
