This is still better than what Wynn Dorvan went through, Dorvan had to deal with the antics of Daala and later Abeloth. Daala might’ve been slightly reasonable as she became more paranoid and probably wouldn’t have killed Dorvan but Abeloth could easily kill him or do even worse

Palpatine was powerful but as Anakin I dont think Sheev had the power to stop him. Also if sheev was aware Luke would not become dark, and had his plans already in motion which was obvious when ep 7 was done. They pretty much told us he was looking to the deeper parts of space and to continue his life. Hell. The clone wars just happened and we knew if maul lived then Palpatine did.
