I agree with the first half; however, in the last part of the comic, they mentioned the Millenium Falcon is not to be destroyed because Luke rides on it at some times, meaning the last few pannels is at least after Vader, knowing Luke is of interest to him, whether that be as Vader's son, a tool or both. If the last pannel happens after the interest in Luke starts she outlives ANH and Tarkin at least for now.

This is why David Xanatos is the greatest antagonist in fiction/entertainment media IMO He doesn't see loss as a failure. As he put it you gain knowledge...and knowledge is power. Basically, "Tony learns from his mistakes!" (Those who frequent "Did you know?" videos will get this) There is complete failure and partial success. If you deal a significant blow to your enemies, especially those like the rebels, who have very limited resources compared to yourself it's a positive wrapped in a negative especially if you gain intel on your enemies plans and other bases of operations. This is why Sidious was always ahead of Vader...he understand that gaining knowledge and intel on your enemies is considered a partial success...then again it depends on who's writing his character. Honestly, this is why I prefer Sidious and those like Xanatos to tank villians like Vader. I just wish Sidious had a better design....I guess he still loves that unassuming appearance he had as chancellor. Of course Vader's Achilles heal is Pride...Sidious had this as well when looking down on lightsabers as you should learn and practice the methods if your enemies to be able to better deal with them.
