Hello, nice video👍. It would be possible to apply fertilizer and seed to it with the spreader to restore the lawn which has weeds and several dry areas with very little volume of grass. I have never worked with grasses and I don't know if after putting seed to make the grass grow if I can also put fertilizer to prevent weed. The grass type is Fecue and the date is 4/22/24, I'm in NC Thank you!

I threw down 1.00# nitrogen 4 weeks ago. It was already growing strong before then. Maybe i'll back that off a little next time. Has never looked better though, mowing at 4". Got some Menards natural fertilizer I was gonna use soon. Prepping for lawn level project in a couple of weeks once the zoysia contaminant in my lawn decides to grow. Hope i don't go from greatness to weed heaven.

These would be use in place of Milo. You can still use Milo as your fertilizer instead of these if you prefer.

Pre emergents don’t really stop broadleaf weeds. Over time of killing clover etc and getting your lawn thicker the weeds will be less and less. I hardly ever get any weeds in my home lawn

Only concern with the Flagship is that the amount applied to the lawn appears low due to coverage in the bag. Used to a product you can easily see getting dispersed with a greater volume. In other words, it’s quite concentrated based on the lbs. per bag and coverage in square feet.

You mean you’re used to milorganite? Most (almost all) fertilizers are generally 3 pounds per 1,000 square feet gets you .75lb of N. You can still see this fertilizer coming out of the spreader even at 2 pounds per 1,000 due to the color

If you need phosphorous then pick a fertilizer with phos. Too much phos in the soil can bind up other nutrients so they aren’t usable

I'm seeing some of this as well... I think sometimes dogs being walked will over-fertilize spots around sidewalks... not sure where you're seeing the spots

@@jfrux It's actually further up in my lawn, and pretty much spread out evenly. Thing is, you'll see some grass blades with the tips brown, and then you'll have blades around it that don't have it. I read this can be caused by a dull blade, and maybe due to too much fertalizer, but the fact it's not occurring throughout is kinda puzzling. I did start mowing 3 times a week, so I'm going ot cut back to 2 and see if that solves it.
