First time I've seen the 1B put a hit on the player charging the mound, usually it's the catcher.Kudos to Vaughan for not only protecting his guy but if you watch the replay you can see he wasn't malicious.He more or less tried to bear hug Bell, the fact that both players were moving is what knocked Bell down.Well played Mo !
