When it comes to someone who has paranoid schizophrenia and is violent, they need to be institutionalized for life. They cannot be counted on to continue taking their medications and need to be in a hospital-like setting to make sure they do. One thing. The one young lady was "unlawfully killed"? That's truly an odd way to word that. As for the two people who faked cancer, their goals in each case were to scam people. Not because of suicidal tendencies or to save a marriage.

I was just thinking similarly when I heard the story about the two girls who did SIX burglaries and only got 4 years. Seems a bit light. Granted I'm from the US and my great-aunt, great-uncle and aunt were in a car wreck 3 years ago. My great aunt, who was 81 years old, was killed instantly. They were hit from behind by a guy in a work truck who was driving on a suspended license. He didn't even try to stop. My great uncle had to have 2 brain surgeries and my aunt had a brain injury which caused her to have 2 strokes shortly after the wreck. The case finally went to court and was finished yesterday. The guy that did this got 8 years in prison... even though he killed someone and caused another to have lifelong problems. Our lawyer said that he'll probably out in 4 years because of time served. Doesn't seem fair to me.

As someone that fought a 5 year battle, it's very much appreciated. Without people like you I wouldn't be here right now, not being overdramatic but I'd surely be dead. It was only because of people like you and your kindness that I was able to afford the fight. I never took any donation, if someone wanted to help I'd give them the option of medication or billing account information. I always provided receipts. It's sad and sounds like too much hassle but with so many scams I wanted those to know exactly what their donation was going to/for. Never donate to Awareness based charities, aim for actual research or even contacting your nearest treatment center about how to go about helping those who really need it. You can also help on other ways, child care during treatment is always needed, wigs is another great one (I wore them for 2 years but finally got comfortable enough to rock my bald shiny head, lol), house work or cooking meals. After treatment I had no energy, sadly, my house suffered from me not having the energy to actually clean. By the time I made my son meals I was done. There will always be scammers & dirty liars, but we can't let that change us, we can't let another's dirty deeds taint our good. Again, thank you for any & all you have done. Thank you for any & all you continue to do.

It's actually true. Her nickname was Ester "Bred n' Buttah" Brown among her crew. While the others were working over a rival gang member, she would be in the background buttering bread that she would make for just this occasion. If the rival needed to be "taken care of" after, they would hand him over to Ester who would slather their face with hot butter before shoving a warm, chewy loaf down their throat. They would eventually choke on it. Then "Bred n' Buttah" and the crew would celebrate with 40s and bl u nt s. The guy caught Ester by surprise that day, she was sleeping off a gin n' juice bender from the night before. The fact that she was able to get up off of her bed so hungover and try to fight off the guy proves what a badass she was.

I don't give money to charities because a lot of the money goes to administrators and staff (I used to work in mental health and with youth at risk and also child protection I know how these systems work). However, when I do have the money, I will buy groceries and meals for homeless individuals. I'll even buy them smokes so they aren't picking up butts of the sidewalks. The Short answer to opening my home to a homeless person - Nope, not again. I did give someone who I didn't know well, a place to stay for 4 months when she was facing homelessness - she was brought to my attention by someone in the community who collects food to give to people in need. I have a one-bedroom apartment and I let her sleep on my couch and gave over another tiny room for her crafts and belongings. She stayed long enough to find an apartment in the same building. SHE HAS BEEN MY NIGHTMARE RACIST BULLY EVER SINCE SHE MOVED IN. And, the landlords allowed her behaviour. For the last 2 years, I have had to deal with the police over her threats of violence and am taking the owners through a Human Rights Complaint.

Unfortunately that is the case with most large charities. What’s worse with some is not just how much money the staff makes, but the fact that 90% of the work is done by unpaid volunteers. It’s getting easier to research where charity money really goes so I no longer give to any charity that keeps most of the money. If I’m not sure, I’ll find out first and then donate. I have a nice list growing of charities that are on my ‘No’ list, which is pretty sad really. I do try to always be kind and helpful though.
@romella_karmey2 жыл бұрын
Or never donate to any famous charities. We know majority of the money goes to some dirty people's pockets. If you really wanted to help others do so by finding desperate or hopeless people around. Like giving food to the homeless or paying for the medicine or bills of a poor patient.. donation does not always mean you have to give your disposable money to charities.. there are lots of streams to donate.

Faking cancer has to be one of the most despicable things EVER! It happened to me TWICE! 1.) My aunt faked having cancer for years in an attempt to save her marriage. We learned the truth after her autopsy years later! 2.) Within WEEKS of my family losing BOTH my uncle (of previous Aunt) and my Grandpa from lung cancer, my ex came home from work and told me he was just diagnosed. We sat talking ALL night about the 6 mths he supposedly had left, our daughter and at what point both her and I could no longer visit him, the will, funeral/cremation arrangements, etc. Something felt off, so the next day I talked to my roommate, who was a nurse. I did a little more digging that day and it was confirmed that this was yet another lie from him! (He was pathological for the entire 3.5 yrs we were together) Just F'N DISGUSTING! Especially knowing how prevalent cancer was in my family. Saddest of all... My Dad died last year from cancer... Which I didn't know about. He'd hardly spoken but a few sentences to me in the last 15 yrs! Anyhow, all of 2020 he knew, and made sure to spend that extra quality time making those last memories with my daughter, nieces, sister/bil, and Mom. Not a word to me. No last goodbyes, no amends made. _ ***I just wish people these days had more compassion for one another! Stop and think about your actions and words, and how deeply they cut others!*** _
