It happens all the time at law firms. Jim Smith, a lawyer, has a son named Jim Smith, Jr. Junior goes to law school and then takes over his father’s law firm because he passed down his name. The company retains its name recognition and status within its community without having to change its identity.

Dames use to thinking outside the box (higher) than alot of us. Dame is not wrong and how he thinks is refreshing to hear rather than alot of us Peters (playing it safe) not wanting to step 'outside the boat' outside the safety and comfort of a regular 9 to 5. Besides, a reputation (or fan base) is not like owning a company that you can pass down to your child so they dont have to work. Nothing wrong with what hes saying. @@dimitries

Life and how some folk choose to live it has zero to do with comfort. As far back as I can remember, all I saw and experienced in most reflected hatred, cock blocking, mockery, immaturity and at time fuckshit information and direction that was purposely extended and given for others to fail. When and if it comes from someone with dark skin, it's even worse!!!!!!!!!! As all that people of color have had to endure would make any mature mind think.......I can't screw over someone that looks like me, I can't give them hell *and a hard time......just because. But unfortunately that is who some have been and have been doing "in the name of comfort" and the need to be and appear better than. Anyone aiming to stand on their own two feet have likely seen and experienced the likes of some kind of irresponsible fuckery and red tape. It's even more repulsive when someone actually chooses to honestly work and provide for themselves and some tyrant mf smells them out in order to whip, kick and spit on them. All of the above just goes to show the real ambitions of most. Which is to whip kick and enslave, whoever they can for recognition and props. Eh....... #glwt

Envy is way more successful business wise than dame, that's why he got upset, imagine someone not on your level talking to you like that. Envy makes 5 million a year doing radio alone. He also has multiple other businesses. Dames net worth is 100k and is in multiple lawsuits being sued for millions /he's foreclosed multiple properties over the years as well, tanked businesses and is known for being impossible to work with. Yet he's somehow convinced people he's the biggest "boss" in New York 🙄.
@anthonyphillips8393
@anthonyphillips8393 Жыл бұрын
@@lordchaos9148 “Business wise”, Envy was definitely NOT an entrepreneur. He’s was a WORKING man, and that’s not a knock because we all have to start somewhere. Envy didn’t get upset because someone he believes is less successful than him talked to him a certain way he was upset because Damn was correct on everything he said his delivery was just very brash. I’m certain Envy is not bringing in $5M a year hosting radio, cut it out. Damn has reached height BUSINESS wise that Envy will never reach. As far as the net worth please don’t go off what you see on google. The numbers you see there are ONLY what that person chose to disclose. Once you release a financial statement it then becomes public record. I’m sure he doesn’t disclose his true net worth for a reason and most others don’t either. Law suits, foreclosures and tank businesses don’t mean you don’t mean you’re incapable when it comes to businesses. Some of the wealthiest people in the world have both gained and lost MASSIVE amounts of wealth just to gain it back. That’s the entrepreneurial roller coaster.

I agree with him that ownership is where it's at, I have ownership in multiple businesses. However, if I were to look down on say the CFO of Apple because he doesn't own anything, that would make me a complete moron! The guy makes over 27 million dollars a year! He could buy businesses (and any other money-making assets) that he wants right now! I can scream he doesn't own anything all day long! You live in fantasyland! 🙄 And that is why you'll forever be a slave!😂 Dame's talking about investing in your own dreams, being your own boss and building your own company so that you can leave something behind for your children. Generational wealth! How many people do YOU know personally, that makes millions of dollars working at another man's company?! NONE! And that is why you'll forever be dusty! 😂
@mikewilliams2106
@mikewilliams2106 Жыл бұрын
@@warispeaceignoranceisstren704 lol you haven’t lived enough life to be speaking like that. There is always someone above you that owns something you want to be apart of. Not every person can own their own business and be wildly successful. There are way more millionaires who worked/still work for a company they do not technically own compared to independent entrepreneurs. Dame speaks out his add as do many others like yourself. There is nothing wrong with working for someone’s else, just depends what the job is and if they take care of you. Dame is the perfect example. Ever since jayz left him in the dust (was more of a liability than anything for years) dame has struggled financially. The same thing that he has been preaching is the same thing that has held him back.

While most people don’t make 1,000,000+ dollars in their contracts/salaries, they can still make significant amounts working for a company and over the years become millionaires. It’s all about what you do with these more steady positions and how you leverage them.

This was one of the greatest conversations that you'll ever see. It's basically 2 different philosophies of life. And depending on who u are as a person, you'll believe in one set of ideals and completely not understand the other. Simply... Dj Envy prob has more money in his bank account. But he is a worker. He doesn't own any of the work he produces at that station, nor does he own the building or equipment. Someone tells him when to come to work and leave. Someone sets his value and gives him a salary based on that. He's a worker. Dame dash may have less money in his bank account but he is his own boss. And his potential to generate more income than Envy is higher because he owns the work and the means to produce the work. No one can tell him when he has to be at work... He sets his own value for his work He is a boss
