When I visited an English-speaking country almost 25 years ago, I happened to mistakenly say to someone, "I'm sometimes frustrating," and that person replied, "Yes, you are." A true story😰

These mistakes are very very common for us, French, even if the English grammar makes much more sense than ours... but we must be too busy thinking like frogs to care thinking like English ;)

@danielventura73108 ай бұрын
In spanish some times we call it the same, because there is also "i latina". The letter Y is from greek origin. But usually with call it YE, like KanYE West.

He used the wrong tense for boring, interesting, disgusting, etc. Instead of saying am interesting, he should have said am interested. Similarly he said he is disgusting instead of was disgusted. He was was essentially describing himself instead of his feelings.
@vibhashree53593 жыл бұрын
Hello there. I believe the bus represents their company. They tutor people in English and help them to do better. Towards the end one can notice how he got the "-ing" usage right!

@@sasi5841 Was he really a frog whisperer?
@thecoffeeengineer3 жыл бұрын
Besides his mistakes with adverbs (-ing, -ed), I believe he also made mistakes with his pronunciations for certain words. I think 'frogs' was supposed to be a person's name (Fawks). Likewise for snails 😁

He got all the adjectives in the -ing form, when they should be used in the -ed form. I am very interested, not interesting. I am bored and annoyed, not boring and annoying. I am disgusted, not disgusting. She is excited, not exciting. Things are interesting, boring, annoying, disgusting and exciting. They are the active voice of adjectives. The people are interested, bored, annoyed, disgusted and excited by things/persons who are interesting, boring, annoying, disgusting and exciting. I am annoyed by an annoying person. I am interested in something interesting. I am disgusted by something disgusting.
